Jr. Toopa is a punk kid who is always looking for a fight with Mario. Each time he faces Mario, he has new weapons and defenses to make him stronger.
A Magikoopa and a well recognized enemy in many Mario games. Kamek traditionally shoots magic attacks at the player.
Kate is Nina's doubles partner in Mario Tennis. She later becomes a coach in the Power Tour game.
The king of all Boos. He has been in many Mario games (mostly spin-offs). He has appeared as a boss in many of the main series' games, including being the final boss of Luigi's Mansion.
A giant koopa that Mario must race in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS twice. He is extremely fast and if beating will give the player a star.
Kooper is the second character to join Mario's party in Paper Mario. He is a part of the Koopa race. His main ability is to hit switches when he goes inside his shell.
A pair of brain-washed Hammer Bros. wearing special helmets made by the Shroobs. They blurt out extreme nonsense.
Lady Bow is the fifth character to join Mario's party in Paper Mario. She is a female boo and head of the Boo mansion deep within Forever Forest. Her powers are making Mario invisible, scaring enemies from battle, and smacking opponents silly.
Lakilester is the last character that joins Mario's party in Paper Mario. Lakilester is a Lakitu who abandons Bowser and joins Mario. His special skill is his ability to float over harmful objects like spikes and lava.
Lakitu has appeared in a variety of Mario games; from Super Mario Bros on the NES right up to Mario Kart 7. He is responsible for dropping Spinies onto the levels below, holding up signs and his very own start signal from all nine Mario Kart games.
Characters who in Super Mario 64 and it's remake. They are first friendly Lakitu's and will help Mario and friends in several ways.
Larry is the second youngest child of Bowser. He is the self-proclaimed king of eavesdropping.
Lemmy is the second oldest of Bowser's eight children. He always appears somewhat dizzy.
The oldest koopaling and longtime second-in-command of Bowser. He composes "Koopa Symphonies" and is a great inventor to boot.
Luigi is Mario's brother. He began as a simple palette swap of Mario, but was later differentiated. In his later forays, he provides comic relief.
One of the members of the Toad Brigade from the Super Mario series. Looks like any other Toad, but as the name implies, it's got mail for you!
A cloud-like creature with the power to control the weather, Mario first meets Mallow when his father's shopping money is stolen by Croco. He is the son of King and Queen Nimbus, making him the prince of Nimbus Land.
Originally a carpenter named Jumpman, this Italian plumber has gone on to become the most recognizable video game character of them all, starring in a veritable pantheon of titles like kart racing and sports. He has been voiced by Charles Martinet for nearly 20 years.
Not actually a separate character, Metal Mario is Mario after getting a power-up that makes him stronger, heavier, slower, and more damage-resistant. This version of Mario appeared as a boss character in the first two Smash Bros. games.
A cowardly mole who often throws stuff at Mario. He is also known to occasionally participate in sports.
Morton Koopa Jr. is Bowser's sixth oldest son and a part of the koopalings. Known as Big Mouth Koopa Jr. in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 & Super Mario World.
Nabbit is a rabbit thief that would steal from Toad's House in New Super Mario Bros. U. He became a playable character in New Super Luigi U.
Nina is one of the selectable characters in Mario Tennis' Mario Tour mode, and is a coach in the later "Power Tour" game.
The fourth character to join Mario's party in Paper Mario, Parakarry is a flying Koopa mailman who delivers letters and packages to the various residents of The Mushroom Kingdom. His aerial prowess also makes him a valuable ally to Mario, both in the field and in battle.
Petey Piranha is a mutated, bipedal piranha plant who shoots sludge from his mouth. He has been known to enjoy sports.
Popple is a common thief in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. He appears several times during the game, and is always accompanied by Bowser, his accomplice, whom Popple always calls "Rookie".
The charming and popular prince of the Beanbean Kingdom. He is devilishly handsome and brave; his good looks can even light up the entire room.He has a sword.
Luigi's love interest and Peach's sidekick. She's the princess of Sarasaland.
Princess Peach Toadstool is usually the damsel in distress from the Mario franchise. She gets kidnapped frequently by Bowser, though she's not averse to being captured by various other villains from time to time.
The princess of the Shroob race. She has a secret sister, the Elder Princess Shroob.
