The real outstanding feature of Uncharted 2, in addition to the jaw-dropping environments and non-stop action, is the quality of the dialogue, narrative and general writing. It really does raise the bar in interactive character driven story telling: there is little exposition, well rounded and believable characters, and a story that propels itself without the need for clumsy prolonged cut scenes or back-story. Thrust into action from the opening moments, being forced to scale a fallen train hanging from the edge of a cliff, Uncharted 2 instantly creates a feeling of excitement and intensity in the player. This game is an improvement in just about all areas of an already amazing game. The gameplay mechanics have been incrementally improved – enemies no longer absorb a ridiculous amount of firepower and the puzzles are more complex. While I did play and finish Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, I was not one of the people that thought it was the best game on PS3. I enjoyed the first game, but I felt that it did drag on towards the end. As a huge fan of the original, I was expecting Uncharted 2: Among Thieves to be an incredible game. The developer, Naughty Dog, made it clear early on in the game’s development that we would see the return of Uncharted’s protagonist, Nathan Drake, as well as his lovable co-stars, Victor “Goddamn” Sullivan, and Elena Fisher (my favorite character in anything, ever). I guess I should follow up a satirical review with an actual review for game I actually played. What I liked: The game is basically a summer blockbuster, with you in the reigns. I absolutely love summer blockbusters (for the most part), so this game affected me in a way. The game does this in three ways: Gameplay, Graphics and Cutscenes.
