It's annoying that removing features from it hasn't extended its battery life, according to Nintendo and Eurogamer's testing it has pretty much identical battery life with the 3DS XL, that plus the maybe lackluster production quality makes this a lot less appealing.

I like the color.

On my 2DS, the tiny lanyard slit on the stylus broke, so it no longer snaps into the stylus holster, it falls out quite easily. I feel like putting the stylus on the bottom is a bad idea, unless they changed the design.

Waiting on the 1DS XL that you just wrap around your head like a scarf.

You guys really need to fix the no-wifi thing. It seems like it often gets in your way.

As others have said, my New 3DS XL wobbled straight outta the box. I assume that is just a thing.

So it's a safe bet at this point that Nintendo isn't releasing (non-XL) New 3DS systems in North America ever again now, right? I wanted the black one, but I have a hard time justifying paying a reseller over MSRP for it, especially when my current (regular) 3DS still works (albeit with a blown-out left speaker and well-worn D-pad).

I had no idea that my normal 3DS XL has top screen wobble until I watched this video and read the comments. Thanks for that. I guess that shows how much of a non-issue it is. Although, I barely play my 3DS. Definitely haven't touched it in over a year. I shouldn't have bought one in the first place with how much I ended up using it...

So what I'm gathering from this video is that the top screen still has that garbage viewing angle and backlight from the 3D version? Can anyone confirm?

@revulsive: Nintendo stated that the wobble prevented hinge breakage since it wasn't so tight.

I have the Majora's Mask 3DS and I only ever use the 3D once at the beginning of a new game. I want this now so that I can keep the screen size but ditch the weight of the 3DS.

Nobody taught Ben how to end these sorts of videos. That wobble seems like it would drive me nuts.

My 3DS XL has a little wobble, but nothing like what Jeff demonstrates here. I want to get one for my daughter, but it looks a bit too flimsy.

Why would it have 2 cameras on the back if it doesn't have 3D? That's just... weird man.

So wait, DOES this thing have 3D? I'm still unsure.

"That's the same power adaptor that all of these things come with." In Europe, at least when I got mine, 3DSs, and I'm assuming other *DS consoles, don't come with a charger.
