What kills this game for me is not being able to choose map and having no custom map support. Most of the maps are bad, players usually make all the good ones and you cannot pick which map you want... like great so I have to leave and get a leavers penalty until I find a map I like.

@lazyaza: That match with the comeback at the end was a good effort by the guys though. They were playing against much more experienced players most of the time as well.

I know I say this about all the content GB East is involved in.. but man they should have gotten Bakalar in on this! Especially since Brad didn't seem super into it.

Instead of asking a hundred different questions about what each characters abilities do either take an hour of your time to watch this (which is actually incredibly well narrated/explained) OR play against AI with each character.

I spend a lot of time playing against AI to learn the game and playing against hard AI is also incredibly frustrating because you will learn very quickly there are a LOT of bad overwatch players.

The thing about a game like this where you only have 6 people on each team is you very quickly learn who is bad and who is good. It also sucks when you even have one bad player on your team because YOU CAN NOT CARRY A TEAM in this game. It does not matter how good you are.

I played quakeworld teamfortress for several years (16 v 16) and there was something fascinating about watching ONE sniper shut down an entire team in 2fort4. That game also comes down to incredibly good map design (not including there only being two things in your peripheral skybox, wall textures, no fancy shit to take your eye off of the enemy). Ugh I miss QWTF like a mofo ...

Despite the fact I was getting a 5 hour infusion today, in the ER half the day yesterday and the in the hospital 2 more days this week doing tests I am crawling out of bed to play some Overwatch just because this made me want to play more Overwatch, so thanks for that.

It kills me seeing Lucio sitting there with half health and his boom box is on speed boost. Argh!!

But I'm sure if someone watched me that goes on all the time.

One thing i noticed was that Giantbomb seems to misunderstand that teamwork doesn't necessarily have to be the same as clumping up together and verbally trying to line up ults.

That one Pharah ult destroyed the team with ease and the combo between Vinny & Dan's ults never happened because the whole idea simply took way too long to coordinate.

It's often more useful to play your character the way it functions best for that character and coordinate your plans for the near future. Let a Tracer run around freely, let a pharah soar in the skies and let a Reinhart protect Bastion.

That said, i think it's pretty cool that they did some multiplayer with the community. Thanks for the stream. :)

I'm not playing that stupid pink Japanese map any more, it sucks.

I quit during pre-game set-up all the time and never had an issue.

Also Hanamura is a perfectly good map. You want a sucky map then lets talk about the Sanctum Nepal map.

They couldn't do a UPF, they needed to get packing for E3 right after this stream. Plus, this was something that they could do with the community right before doing their E3 streams.

I enjoyed this. Felt bad for the crew getting hammered in those matches though. Feel pretty good about getting some predictions right, like the mains for each crew member like Jeff as Lucio and Vinny as Reinhardt. Also, I called it! I sort of jokingly predicted that dream guests like Danny O'Dwyer and Will Smith were gonna show up and play and those came true!

Yeah. That was a great end to a match.

If they ever decide to do this again, I vote for another East vs. West matchup. Maybe a couple community members to fill in the lineup.

I've never seen a team talk so much, yet communicate so little, haha.

Easy fix for that is actually in the Lucio specific settings - you can set the song on "hold" instead of "toggle", so that it's always on healing song unless you hold the crossfade button to enable speed song.

There's actually a bunch of useful character specific settings available that are not really mentioned anywhere, unless you go looking for them, like different sensitivity for Widowmaker zoom or enabling allied health bars for Soldier, so you know when to drop the healing field.

Is "TheCalcutec" a Murakami reference or something else?

Sanctum is my favorite map in the entire game. I play offensive Lucio on there, skating on the walls and booping people off the point. :D

@moregrammarplz: I'm sure it's heaven for Lucio players (and to a lesser extent Winston, Roadhog and Pharah) but trying to hold that point is a real pain in the ass and it's so small that a large chunk of the roster feel significantly less effective.

Yeah it was kind of a shame to see the custom matches go into that immediately. Oops All Meis was a fun goof but triple Tracer triple Roadhog just seemed boring.

This was fun to watch. And it makes me miss TNT.

playing against randoms is never a good idea in any game though. shoulda played vs each other. more fun.

The 2 Bastion, Reinhardt, 2 Mercy combo killed the stream for me. theres no fun in watching the guys run against an impenetrable wall of fuck you
