The Vincent is a four-door sedan, appearing in both Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and GTA IV. In both games, it takes on the role of a family car, though the vehicular resemblance changes considerably between the two games. In any regard, the Vincent is very common in Grand Theft Auto IV.
In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the Vincent is a relatively uncommon four-door car with underwhelming performance. It appears to be modelled upon the BMW 5-Series of the era: the E34. The car has some major differences, but the basic design is much the same, with the double headlights. While the 5-Series is well known for its top model, the M5, the Vincent is nothing special.
The Vincent has good braking, coupled with a front wheel drivetrain. The acceleration and top
speed are acceptable, but are not of incredible merit. The Vincent's handling is weak, and the car will b e difficult to control around sharper corners. One of the few relative bonuses of the Vincent is the decent damage resistance. The car can withstand a fair number of collisions, making it useful in scenarios where you may crash frequently.
The Vincent can be seen when in debt to one of the
Las Venturas casinos. When you are pursued by Loan Sharks they will always drive a Vincent.
During the transition between Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and IV, the Vincent has underwent some fairly significant changes. The first change that you will note is the vast design difference. Rather than resembling an E34 BMW, the IV rendition of the Vincent resembles a Mitsubishi Galant. In addition, the car lacks a manufacturer badge, leading some players to believe it is produced by the Maibatsu company.
The acceleration and top speed of the Vincent are the one constant between the two games, being relatively average in every sense of the word. The newer Maibatsu Vincent also comes loaded with an AWD drivetrain, which is a considerable bonus. Unfortunately, the vehicle has one key letdown beyond this: it has some of the weakest brakes in the game. When braking from top speed, it is not impossible to cruise along an entire block before coasting to a halt. The Vincent can be forgiving to poorer or more reckless drivers as well, as it can withstand crashes relatively well. It is not the strongest car in the game by any means, but it straddles the line of average, at least in the crash survival area.
