    Overview

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a sci-fi fantasy vehicular combat game developed by Pandemic and published by LucasArts for the GameCube (in North America on October 28, 2002 and in Europe on November 15, 2002), PlayStation 2 (in North America on December 10, 2002 and in Europe on February 7, 2003), and Xbox (in North America on April 22, 2003 and in Europe on May 9, 2003).

A video game adaptation of the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, The Clone Wars takes place during the start of the titular Clone Wars era of the Star Wars universe and focuses primarily on third-person tank-based vehicular combat (with numerous vehicles from the series). Throughout the campaign, however, the game has both on-foot segments and aerial combat.

The game's story begins with the Battle of Geonosis (the climax of the film and the beginning of the Clone Wars), with players controlling Jedi Master Mace Windu as he leads a Republic strike force to weaken Separatist defenses and rescue Jedis Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. From there, players control Obi-Wan and Anakin a month later as they investigate unusual Separatist activity throughout the galaxy (leading to the re-assembly of an ancient Sith weapon).

In addition to the main campaign, the game features split-screen multiplayer (with eight-player Xbox Live online and system link support in the Xbox version) with multiple game modes (including standard deathmatch, team-based strategy, and a co-operative wave-based survival mode).

    Story

The game opens with The Battle of Geonosis and then takes the player to Rhen Var, where the player escapes only a short time before the Seperatists capture the planet.

One month after The Battle of Geonosis, the Republic sends Jedi generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to Raxus Prime after detecting Seperatist forces in the area. The republic then sends reinforcements and recaptures the planet, however, Anakin is captured by sith lord and Seperatist leader Count Dooku. Dooku sends Anakin to be executed on Alaris Prime, a moon of the wookiee planet Kashyyyk. Skywalker and the other Jedi prisoners are to be killed by the Force Harvester, an old Sith weapon that drains the force from all living things. The Clone Army rescues Skywalker in time and destroys the Seperatist prescence on the moon.

After Skywalker returns to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Jedi Masters Yoda and Mace Windu tell him of Sith weapon called the Dark Reaper, a weapon so powerful that none can withstand it. They believe that the Seperatists are building a Dark Reaper on the Thule system and using the Force Harvester to power it. All four Jedi travel to Thule to try to stop it from behind built. When they arrive, a huge battle ensues. While the other Jedi fight the droid armies outside the Sith temple, Anakin enters to destroy the Dark Reaper.
