    Overview

Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai is a 2.5D sci-fi fantasy fighting game developed by Dimps and published for the PlayStation Portable in North America (by Atari on March 7, 2006), Japan (by Namco Bandai on April 22, 2006), and Europe (by Namco Bandai on May 26, 2006).

A handheld spinoff of the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai series, Shin Budokai is an adaptation of the 1995 animated film Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn (and was released in conjunction with the English dub of the film). Set two years after the defeat of Majin Buu, the game's story centers around a demonic entity known as Janemba, who throws both the regular world and Other World in chaos after raising villains from the dead.

The game later had a sequel, called Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai - Another Road, which features an original story.

    Characters

The game features 18 playable characters (5 of which must be unlocked beforehand).
