Fight for Life is a 3D fighting game developed and published by Atari for the Atari Jaguar on January 15, 1996.

Known as the final first-party game released on the Jaguar, as well as the only 3D polygonal fighting game for the system, Fight for Life is unique for both its optional "rolling camera" system (which moves the camera so that Player One is always on the left side of the screen) and its single-player special move system (where rather than starting with a full array of special attacks, the player instead "steals" them by defeating opponents).

The game is set in a form of purgatory, known in the manual as the Specter Zone, where eight damned souls fight each other for the chance to challenge the son of Satan and become reborn.

When marketing the game, Atari was eager to tout that Francois Bertrand, the sole programmer for the game, had experience with Sega-AM2 working on the original Virtua Fighter.

It was later included in the 2022 compilation Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration.

    Gameplay

The game uses the C and B buttons for attacks (Punch and Kick), the A button for evasive maneuvers (including dodging and rolling), and the 4 and 6 buttons on the keypad for sidestepping. The ProController uses the X, Y, and Z buttons for additional attacks ("left sidekick", "high kick", and "small uppercut"), while also using the shoulder buttons for sidestepping.

In single-player mode, players can claim two special attacks from their defeated opponents' repertoires. Each character has five special moves, one of which is their "Signature Move" and cannot be claimed.
