    Originally released through browsers on August 8, 2013, Cookie Clicker is an idle/incremental game where players click on a large cookie, receiving cookies which in turn purchase structures that automatically create cookies, as well as upgrades which increase the amount of cookies the player earns per second. Although the original release only featured seven buildings, the game has since been updated to have 18 buildings, 613 upgrade items, four mini-games, a new game plus-style ascension system, achievements, and more.

    On September 1st, 2021, the game was officially released on Steam. The game's Steam release, published by Playsaurus, features Steam Workshop and cloud save support, as well as a soundtrack composed by Daniel "C418" Rosenfeld.
