Personally I'm not. I play games and if i happen to earn a few achievements along the way its all good. Only once in a while do I go out of my way to specifically get a certain achievement but NEVER if it requires some sort of repetitive behaviour on my part (ex. the Assassin's Creed achievements requiring you to do all the research for the assasination)

I used to be. My gamerscore is 23k. Last summer I gained 20,000 gamerpoints in two months. Then I stopped.

Kind of i guess... I played CSI for 1000 gamer points in about 6-8 hours of play and i hated the game... But ive finished Halo 3, COD4, Gears of War etc and i havn't got all the acheivements... like 500+ for each though...

Well, I try to get as many achievements as I can in a game, but I am very picky about what games I buy so I don't have that many points.

Honestly, I'm starting to care more about my gamerscore then ever before. At first I thought the Achievements were rubbish, but once I hit 10,000 Last summer that all changed. I'm sitting at 21K at the moment.

nah, i don't give a crap about my gamerscore, i just love playing games. the only games that i made it my duty to get all the achievements were BioShock and GTA IV

I'll only play certain games, I hardly rent anything so I just have points from the games that I own.

I like getting achievements, but I don't go for the ridiculous ones or others that require an ungodly amount of collecting. I still go for as many as I can.

Just imagine achievements just came out, and games are slowly starting to support it. So you have time to basically get every game with them, and unlock em all. Meaning you can basically have all the achievements our there much easier. Its like heaven!

If I was to say no that would be a blatent lie as I do try to get achievements but I wont go out of my way to get achievements (For example the car ordering achievement on GTA IV which seems as long as the main storyline). Where as a game such as Civilization Revolution (The only game I have every single achievement) the game seemed to have an achievement for what is expected to be done over time although I did complete it pretty quickly I was glad to see there were no silly achievements just straight to the point win as this civilization, win on this difficulty, etc.

Absolutely. If you don't want/can't afford/are still waiting for some new games besides the ones you already have, the Gamerscore adds a goal element to finished games, making replaying games more than just dithering around the fun levels.

No. I'd like to see my gamerscore go up, but I don't really go too out of my way to get some achievements. Things like harder difficulties, and defeating a storyline boss are what I usually get :P

I pity people that actually buy xbox live accounts purely for having a high gamerscore.

No, I am not.  Although, I do go out of my way to get them, but not so far as to find 9,999,999 flags, orbs or whatever it may be. :P

I was for a short time when I first got my Xbox because I though it was neat then stopped for a while and then started to become one again when 20k was in arms reach. I'm always interested in the achievements when I play games though because they are really fun and show I played the game to completion. I wouldn't play like a Disney movie game or something to get easy achievements though, thats silly.

Don't you hate it when a game has online achievements but is either too damn old for you to find someone to play with online or you just don't have a gold membership at all? Frankly, that really pisses me off. Thankfully COD4 did not include any online achievements.

This has happened to me with a few games and it is quite irritating.  Furthermore, the online achievements get a bit asinine if you ask me....i.e. kill X amount of players with weapon A and so on and so forth....

I was an achievement whore until I reached 10,000; I stopped caring after that. Went and rented King Kong, played it for 30 minutes, looked at myself and turned it off. Just couldn't suck from the achievement teat anymore.

I was until I got 10k. That's all I wanted.
