Probably the best news of the summer thus far. Personally, I loved Alan Wake and cannot wait to see a sequel. Hopefully they won't decide to launch it next to a Rockstar Game this time. Red Dead Redemption completely sucked all the air out of the room. Source via OXM.UK

 The sequel to Remedy's warmly received Stephen King 'em up Alan Wake has popped up on a character animator's LinkedIn profile. It's not official confirmation, but it's something to go on.

The animator in question is Althea Suarez Gata, who apparently created an in-game cinematic for Alan Wake 2 while working at Halon Entertainment this year.

Awesome news. Maybe they'll do something closer to their original open world idea. 

Cut down on combat and replace with some other type of engaging gameplay and I'm there.

I hope it happens.

I really hope they're working on AL2, re-playing Alan Wake as we speak(so many thermos!).

I hope this time around the story matches up to the combat. I did like that first one though.

Heck yeah! I love Alan Wake. I'm going to wrap some christmas lights around my puffy red jacket in celebration.

Nice. If they make the combat fun and the other aspects remain at at least the same level as in the original it'll be a masterpiece.

Rad. I really enjoyed Alan Wake.

Good - Alan Wake was a pretty solid game. The story, while not the best, had potential and it would be good to see the trials and tribulations of Mr. Wake resolved. Alan Wake 1 ended on a pretty annoying cliff hanger (even with the DLC), and if they have a chance to FINISH the story in Alan Wake 2, then I'll be happy.
