Kinect Launches November 4 in North America

None of the games look interesting, and while the interface stuff seems kind of neat, it's not something I'd pay more than $20-$30 for. And I really doubt Kinect will launch at anywhere near that price.

I'm sure it will see just as much use and support as that camera accessory.

I was hesitant to pay any attention to Kinect.  But I was pretty impressed with how well it showed at the Microsoft presser.  I think the price of the unit will make or break the Kinect.

Definitely not going to be an early adopter for this.  I will wait to see how it plays out before considering.

was thoroughly unimpressed by what they showed at the conference. the navigation stuff especially seemed just "meh." lack of a price announcement as well makes me think that maybe that $150 stuff was true which puts this firmly in the Hell No category for me

Overall i felt it was a bland conference.. And Kinect, was in no way impressing. liked the shape your body interface... but that wasn't even Ms.

Ubisoft's fitness thing and Dance Central actually impressed me with how well it tracked. Neither of those games appeal to me, but it does give me some hope for the hardware itself, assuming someone can come up with a creative way to use it.

I can't to play with that TIger! :P

So I am assuming it will cost me upwards of $100 to navigate my 360 menus sans controller and talk to firends in a skype-like way which I already do for free? Why would any of us pay a good chunk of money to do these things when we have been doing them with different technology for years. They didn't even bother to take advantage of the graphical capabilities of the 360 over the wii. Just looks like "wii-hash" of wii stuff. i couldn't resist.

I'm still a bit on the fence, but I hereby swear that I will never talk all "OMG, go to da left!  Ok ok!  CHEEEEEESE!" as illustrated during the press conference.  That was so painful to watch.

Xbox 360's Wii looks micro and soft.

Not saying the price was a bit off putting. Guess they didn't want to have the Sony awkwardness from the PS3 pricing announce meant.

I hate to say it but the dance stuff is the most convincing stuff I saw for the Kinect.  The racing stuff looked totally lame (and I love racing games).  Press the "wheel" in to go faster?  Lots of meh to nah from me.

While I still don't think I will pick this up, some of the menu stuff actually looked kinda neat.

Couldn't really care less. The stuff at E3 just looked like Wii clones, and even with something like Forza 3 I'd much rather play with a steering wheel. If they actually made some proper games for it it'd be tempted, but I doubt that's really going to happen when it's splitting the 360 audience. I'm sure kids and parents will enjoy it just like they enjoy the Wii, but I have zero interest at the moment.

So you're saying I can use my voice to access the aspects of my Xbox that I never cared about? And play games that bear striking resemblances to Wii games that if I cared about would already be playing on the Wii I don't own?

Need to know the price of it before I will make a decision. Until then I am kinda on the fence.

I haven't seen much yet so I will hold my judgement.

The moment someone figures out how to mod kinect to a PC there is going to be a flood of Pornkinect titles. Just you wait and see.

I might not but my Wife is going to flip out when she sees this.

If it's fun, I'll buy it.
 
There either aren't enough in-store demos of new stuff, or I don't go to Toys 'R Us as much as I used to.

Don't know about Kinect, looked like there was a good 1-2 second delay between movements and the screen...

Everything shown for Kinect looks like garbage and even with the downgrade in its power they were unable to price under $100 so I'm vastly unimpressed!

Sooner than I expected.  Looking forward to it.

Dance Central seems pretty rad.

Meh, still early days for its develpment, won't be getting my cash till I see the must have 'killer App'.

I couldn't care less about Kinect.

what a pile of crap is this Kinect. I will stick with my Wii for that type of games.

a lot of it seems very wii-ish right now, nothing "hardcore" (for lack of a better word)
