New Spiderman Game To Be Revealed Soon

"Spiderman has to be the most over-utilized superhero in video games.  I can understand why, but they should probably look to someone else.    That being said, I'd be totally down for an Ultimate Spiderman 2.  Game was fun. "

 
After the initial hopes, that last game seemed to fade away very quickly. Not sure they can make Spiderman interesting enough (i.e. "do a Batman") given that he is basically a whiny jerk in the comic books.

That being said, I'd be totally down for an Ultimate Spiderman 2.  Game was fun.

Needless to say, nothing has been learned from Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero by Activision.

I really enjoyed Shattered Dimensions. Sure it has its button-mashing moments. But overall it was great having 4 different Spider-Men to experiment with. A plethora of upgrades and achievements didn't hurt either.

I haven't been excited for a spider-man game ever since I played the atrociousness that was spider-man 3.

I hope it's an all Noir game! I don't care if it's a blatant ripoff of Arkham Asylum, I still loved it.

Shattered Dimensions was ok, I don't know how they can continue to make Spider-man games when Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero are being shelved.

It was good, and pretty fun at times, but also had some pretty disappointing parts. Certainly no personal favorite of mine.  As for Spiderman games, I haven't actually played one since the first movie game. These last few have looked alright though. "

Give me free swinging again please, with an open world that actually has something to do in it that isn't repetitive as hell.

Wait a minute. If this is a follow-up to last year's Shattered Dimensions, I guess we can assume that it has nothing to do with next year's movie. Since Activision will probably also make a tie-in for the film, this newly announced game will probably come out this year, as to not steal their own thunder. Does that mean Spider-Man will be an annualized franchise now? That seems crazy, even for Activision.

During the fabled investor call in which we learned about the death of Guitar Hero, one of the few IPs Activision still seemed excited about was Spider-Man. And as you’d suspect from the sequel-happy company, we’ll see a new title following Shattered Dimensions soon.
