Take a Gander at Dead Space 2's "Severed" DLC

Now that most of you early adopters have had a chance to play through the excellence that is Dead Space 2, it's time for--wait for it--more Dead Space 2! EA just sent out these early shots of the game's first DLC pack, the new story episode called Severed. If you remember, that one will take place at the same time as the main storyline, and stars Gabe and Lexine from Extraction as they become embroiled in some terrible nightmare of their own, elsewhere on Titan Station.
 
I couldn't be happier that Visceral is cranking out some honest-to-God single-player content, and not just a bunch of multiplayer maps and skins or something. Looks like they're putting some effort into this, with some new enemies and RIG designs, and--wait, what's the cyborg ninja doing in here?

Indeed Brad, Gray Fox was the first thing that came to mind when I saw that armor. It's even got  the colors and the cyclops eye. Kinda bummed it's only two chapters though. I mean how much will they be able to deliver in just two chapters? Unless this ends up being an episodic thing where they release 2 chapters of the story every month or something.

That last picture looks familiar. And for people who played through the game, you know what I mean.

I'm going to buy this so hard. I hope it has lots of unlockable stuff that you can being into the main game.

I wonder if Gabe shouts "Hurt me More!" whenever he gets attacked. 

I think I'll defnitely wait until I know how long the DLC is and how much. I'm having enough fun with the single player anyway, so I'm not in any hurry.

I'll be picking this up ASAP.

If I get the Dead Space equivalent of a high-tech samurai sword, I'll buy it twice.
If I get to fight on the outside of the sprawl skyscrapers in zero-g I will buy it infinity times.

i really do at some point they put out map for the multiplayer that takes place i Zero G. i know they said it didn't quite work. but i want to be the judge of that for my self.

I positively adore the designs, but I'd really like to see some more suits. I guess I just want to consume more of the world, but this one-suit-fits-all thing is a little boring.
