I liked the metroid-like progression of gadgets, hopefully something like that is still there. I like to see places and can't get to immediately and go back when i get something new

Batman's Arkham City Is Five Times Larger Than Arkham Asylum
" @TheSeductiveMoose said:Lol.....WHAT? I fucking hope that means Spider-Man in general and not the games. I mean just look at the graphics on the back of the box....WHAM! (Slams in face) Whats wrong with you!" @pwnasaurus said:<@:-) "" @RE_Player92 said:>:/ "" I prefer Spider Man... ": / "
Does this mean the game is five times longer? I'm not really complaining, the first game had a great pace. I'm just curious.
So he says Batman can go wherever he wants. I already know there's going to be tons of inaccessible buildings no matter what, but is the game all open from the start? The original pretty much blocked off all levels until you get certain equipment. Thats how this should do it too.
I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt, but being somewhat linear didn't detract from AA at all.
It sounds like a nice compromise, in keeping the structure of Arkham Asylum while giving more freedom for people who want a sandbox game.
I am pretty excited. Early screenshots looked really good. The video was sweet. The story sounds awesome. Optimism is very high for this.
" @RE_Player92: No Spider Man game is worth anyone's time, unless you're five years old. "I knew saying that would get people's attention :P . Don't worry Uncle Phil I love Batman and Arkham Asylum, getting this day 1.
O_O holy sh*tBatman: Arkham City’s... er, city, will be bigger than Arkham Asylum’s

You guys are thinking sandbox when they say open world. It's not going to be like spider-man. That's sandbox. Where you have a city to play aroudn in. It's going to be like arkham asylum, just bigger...big enough to feel like an open world setting, but without the lame repeating side missions and blah blah. It's going to have just as much love crafted into the game by rocksteady as the first, just with a grander scope. Read the article again...
" @sofacitysweetheart: back tracking is half the fun...its a metroidvania style game. u get an upgrade so u can go find the area u need it for. im so glad ur not involved in developing this game "You, you, you, you're.*
Please, stop talking like a ten year-old.
Also, I never played the original Arkham Asylum. I'm just really not that into Batman.
" @sofacitysweetheart: back tracking is half the fun...its a metroidvania style game. u get an upgrade so u can go find the area u need it for. im so glad ur not involved in developing this game "I know. All those locations I had to look at half a dozen times just up'd the quality of the game tenfold :/

why is a bigger game world better? I thought that the game world in the first one was just right. :(
" Looks like its time to complete first part before this "You didn't finish Arkham Asylum? That's almost as crazy as global warming...almost
" There´s just too many games coming up in 2011 , I Know it sounds crazy but can you guys delay some of them? I woudn´t mind to play Arkham City, Mass Effect 3 , and L.A Noire in 2012 like really I can wait my wallet too "Well, if they come out in 2011, By the time you by them in 2012, they should be cheaper.
I have a lot of Respect for how the developers handled this franchise. Hopefully Arkham City will live up to this hype
