I shot an enemy in the head on Damavand Peak in Rush today from 489 meters away! (Stayed on the helipad and shot down at the defending team.)

Post your best headshot distances!
I haven't done any recon yet, but I just heard this weekend that when you're recon, if you get a headshot you also get the distance of that headshot in points. Is that true? That is, if you get a headshot from 500m away, you get the points for the kill plus 500 points for the distance (or maybe it's 1500 points, if it's giving points per foot - I don't recall which it was).
If so, that explains why there are so many recon bastards on every map.
Also, I think I might have made a whopping hundred meters and some change. Then again, I almost exclusively use an M16/M14.
668m

Yeah, that's true.
Was doing the service star on the M40A5 today. Did some extreme long range sniping on Kharg Island. Got me a 650m or so headshot on a dude camping at the RU spawn from far up in 'them hills' above objective B in CQ64.
There's snipers in them hills.
Just checked. 641 meters. Guess I'll go for the 900+ headshot the next time I feel like doing another service star with the B98 (or however the extreme range gun is called).

150 meters. I never use sniper rifles. :)
I wouldn't do it naturally either, but I made-up some rules I obide by, which make me go outside of my comfort zone. Dude, I kid you not, it is quite fun climbing the highest farthest mountain on the map and shoot a people almost a mile away. You'll see it all unfold before your eyes. You spot and take potshots and occassionally you'll get to take aim at a camping sniper. Getting a headshot at 500+ meters is almost as satisfying as a 'hole in one' in a golf simulation.
It's definitely worth it to mix it up.
Oh - and my rules are governed by service stars. I won't do the service star 2 with any kit, before I haven't gotten a service star 1 with every kit. Same with primary weapons. Keeps it fresh and I get to experience pretty much everything there is.
My longest is I think about 410-450 yards. The one I'm most proud of is picking off a gunner of the huey looking chopper as it did a strafe past me. Target was moving away at the time and pulled up and around to make another pass. I timed it to the peak of the arc of the turn and popped him in the dome. IIRC it was about 200 yards away.
437m, Operation Firestorm, countersniped a guy hiding in the mountains on the US side from either a rooftop, or if I'm getting my matches wrong the mountains on the Russian side.
Got a new one last night, 481. Twas a good shot because usually I only really hit at that distance with stationary targets, this dude was bolting to cover. Looked to be a good 6 or 7 feet lead aim. I really want a new rifle though. Anyone have tips for Recon leveling? I never get much out of the MAV so I usually just run around with a PP-2000 or 870 trying to bust fools.

Seine Crossing is perfect for bolty headshots. Just shoot across the river or from bridge to bridge when a round is at a stalemate or heavily in your teams favor. Played 2 flawless rounds today and I'm just an average head shotter, going like 12-0 both times. So easy.
My record is about 740m on Operation Firestorm (Conquest) from the largest mountain near US spawn to the hill near RU spawn.

381m I think. Read somewhere that bullets despawn after 985m. So that's the max. Over 9000 is not a legitimate answer.
I'm pretty sure that I've seen video of shots over 1000 meters though...
I think 985 was the old limit and they quintupled that because people were going for 1000-ish shots that should have hit but the bullet despawned. Based on data from this thread (which is taken with a grain of salt) the new limit is somewhere around 4900. I wouldn't be shocked if the patch guys just changed it to 5k and went to work on other things.

Recent patch upped lifetime of sniper rifle rounds by 5x to almost 5000m. There are 3,400m headshots recorded on Battlelog.
