New Bayonetta info coming this week

#1 Posted by Lawrens (678 posts) -

Tweeted Hashimoto earlier today, "Good morning. It looks like we'll be able to share new information related to Bayonetta this week. Look forward to it."

There's no indication in Hashimoto's post about what kind of information we can expect.

This may not be related, but Game Jouhou points out that in a past interview with an overseas publication, Hashimoto expressed interest in doing a spinoff that takes a different approach to the Bayonettta world.

Wonder what it could be, Viewtiful Jeanne? Space Hairier? Bald Space Marine Rodin? Bayonetta: Special Edition? A proper ps3 port? Official Bayonetta h-manga? Or nothing at all?

Was just going through the game again yesterday to get rid of those ugly stone trophies, I hope it's news for a sequel or spinoff.

Bayonetta 2 maybe.

God, I want a spinoff where you play as Rodin.

Graphic novel?
Co-op multiplayer with Rodin and Bayonetta would be kick ass.

Sequel? Spinoff? Bayonetta-branded Cheerios?
Either way, I'm fucking pumped.

Having just finished Bayonetta not super long ago, I'm kinda excited about this announcement.

Considering that I got Bayonetta at Launch and have not yet gone more than 3 days without playing it extensively, I am eagerly awaiting this news.  Fingers crossed for investigative adventure game starring Enzo and Rodin.

@Redbullet685:  As awesome as Bayonetta 2 would be, it does seem a bit early.

I loved Bayonetta. This news makes me squirm with joy. Premature, sure, but I'll take anything at this point as even Devil May Cry 5 has been MIA for a while now.

DLC maaaaaaybe?  Like a Challenge Tower of some sorts.  Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe.

I'm up for anything mentioned here, besides the challenge DLC. That would not be enough for me to grab, but anything else and I will be all over it!

@Lawrens: I'm glad I didn't get my hopes up when I saw this thread title, still news on a Bayonetta 2 would have been awesome.

That was disappointing.  I know some people who would like this game so I guess it's good that it's going to the greatest hits collection.  Maybe they'll buy a legit copy rather than a used on now.
If someone was to do a spin-off, I'd hope it'd be Bio-Ware licensing the game engine to make Jade Empire sequel that is as good a blend of kung-fu action and RPG as ME2 is 3rd person shooter and RPG.

"Space Hairier?"
Clearly this is the only logical conclusion.

The world can never have enough Jade Empire.
