    I've heard tell that Ayn Rand's philosophy etc. heavily influenced BioShock and would love to pick up her work.

    Can anyone tell me anything particular about which I should start with first, opinions etc. ?

    Atlas Shrugged seems to be the one that people bring up when they talk about BioShock.
