Just picked it up on the Xbox on Demand 75% off sale. For $5, it fixes every major problem reviewers had with it. The reviews basically complain it's more of the same for $60, and if it were a cheap XBLA title, it would be way better. Well, now it is. Game size is only about 388mb, too.

It's also chock full of unintentional humor, like the robot announcer and the bomber girl excessive jiggle physics (in a bomberman game? REALLY?). At $5, I don't regret picking this up at all.

There are actually a bunch of mediocore/extremely shitty games on sale for 5 bucks on games on demand.

Kind of shitty that they're still selling this game when they've taken the online servers off. That said, man was it awful.

Glad someone liked that train wreck of a game. Learned from playing it that it's just not for me as well as I figure 95% of the people playing games.

Eh, I already have Bomberman Live, which is a much better version methinks.

Agreed. My hands hurt just remembering the Facebreaker demo... what a mess.

That reminds me of a call the duders got on the hotspot about a dude that bought a 360 just so he could play Bomberman Act Zero. It was pretty funny.

This isn't one of those "I'd be stupid not to get it" moments. Don't buy it.

I'd really suggest people check out Kameo since its on sale. It was one of the better launch games and its a shame it never got a proper sequel

I think of Kameo as the last true Rare adventure game; pretty much what we all desired out of them after the Microsoft acquisition. Don't get me wrong, Viva Pinata and Nuts & Bolts were clever/original experiments, but I just love the traditional platformers they used to make with colorful worlds to explore and whimsical, cartoony characters. Kameo is a hidden gem and worth checking out for $5.

It's dark bomberman, and it's hilarious how unintentionally ridiculous it is. A match starts, and a tortured bomber man gets taken out of his Matrix-style cocoon with a giant evil UFO catcher claw, gets fitted with cybernetic enhancements, and is then unceremoniously dumped into an expansive warehouse filled with blocks. When he/she lands, it's in that ridiculous Terminator "time traveler" pose. I had no idea what to expect and I nearly shot soda through my nose. It's played ENTIRELY straight.

I played for about 15 minutes earlier today and just from that got my $5 worth, just seeing what Japan thought the west was demanding from their games (360 exclusive). I really like bomberman and I already own a bunch of different versions, this is different while still being exactly the same. It's worth it just to subject friends to it, because you know none have them have ever seen it, or likely even heard of it.

I will say that even loaded onto the HDD, the load times are atrocious, though. I have no idea what it's loading, it's only 388mb. They could load the entire thing into RAM with room to spare.

Edit: That said, Prince of Persia for 3.99 is by far the better value, but I'm not trying to convince anyone to get that. This is less a "OMG, GREAT DEAL!" thread and more of a "take a minute to re-evaluate just why you think you hate this game because you know you've never played it or know anyone who has played it." I can honestly say I'm not going to play this thing for more than an hour, total, over the life of my XBL account, but I don't feel I've wasted my money because I finally got a chance to experience this mess of design for myself.
