Borderlands is a first-person shooter RPG from Gearbox Software that puts players into the shoes of one of four playable characters as they traverse the hostile planet of Pandora in search of a mysterious "Vault," said to contain priceless unknown riches and alien technologies.
So just wondering what the usual size of your Borderlands band of mercs you tend to roll in. Me personally, I'm usually on my lonesome =(. But then again its for the best since I don't have a, working, headset and frankly I find it easier to manage on single player. All the loot for yourself and gives you a much more versatile schedule for when to play.
I will sometimes play splitscreen, but thats with seperate characters. My main being Lilith, all the splitscreen funz is with Roland.
What about everyone else? I'm well aware of how popular it is as a coop game, but even then, just how often do people play with the maximum team of four?
I've found myself playing with a mate recently. He's a sniper, I'm a medic-focused solider. As I'm a much higher level than him, I get help him out a lot.
I played a bit with some friends, usually alone though. its also hard to find people around my level to play with, although with the DLC that might've changed. On the PC version for me.
Alot of splitscreening I see, makes sense though since an open world game like Borderlands doesn't benefit fully from 4-player coop. Its not like left4dead 2 where you could play through an hour long level then call it a day, Borderlands is a game that could have you hooked for hours, so much that the other 3 might not share the same enthusiasm.
Always made me feel like I was missing out, like you're not getting the best out of Borderlands unless its with a full team, especially since the loot is apparently better, to which could anyone actually clarify on that? I still find enough oranges solo, curious as to wonder how much rarer the weapons are in a 4 player game. Probably alot more Atlas guns I'd guess at.
I have played almost everything but Mad Moxxi and the multiplayer achievements alone. Since I don't have any friends who play Borderlands I have to rely on pick up groups and in my experience those never work out.
