Fun but with a crash
BORDERLANDS is fun game but over run with a bad story and a very small replay value.
Graphics:
The graphics are different from your average game. Much different. It sets itself in a cartoon like world where you are a cartoon like character. But don't take it the wrong way when I say "cartoon". It is not your adverage cartoon you would expect on tv on a Saturday morning, this is gory. Limbs, random bodies, hangings and brains make this a bloody game.
It is hard to compare these graphics to other games so I will rate it on how much I liked them.
4/5
Story:
The story is terrible (but sometime humorous). You most likely will find yourself doing a mission and have NO IDEA why you are doing this mission or what relation it has to the story?
Maybe it is hard to understand because there is NO story?
No story gets a 1/5
Gameplay:
The game play and controls are great! On the PS3 version you actually get to use the triggers R2 & L2 under your average FPS fire buttons R1 & L1. Feels alot more realistic. Button placement is nearly perfect to me. The missions and side quests are sprinkled perfectly throughout the game and are mostly fun. Walking would be a pain but due to the addition of vehicles driving around jumping ramps to the next objective makes it fun!
5/5
Boss Fights:
Depending on what you have done previously and/or what weapons you have it can change the fight dramatically. For instance I killed nine-toes in several shots. So I can't rate on difficulty but I can say most were incredibly boring.
3/5
Average 3/5 stars.
