Why?!?! Seriously, do people use martyrdom just to annoy me? I'm so afraid of being killed by a martyrdom grenade that right after I kill someone I immediately run away from the person. And in smaller maps or maps with narrow corridors it's terrible because the halls literally keep exploding over and over again. I remember one time I killed someone in front of me, and a teammate saved me by shooting an enemy behind me. Unfortunately, both of them had martyrdom on and I was left there deciding which way to run to my death. Instead, I just stood there and died by both.

If you're serious about getting revenge try using Last Stand, at least I can respect someone who used skill to get their kill.

if you don't like that perk then don't play? It may be annoying but you got to learn to deal with it, i find it just annoying as the people who like to camp there entire match.

It's annoying and all it proves is you need to die to kill someone and it doesn't require skill to use it but you've just got to put up with it and posting this probably only made people want to use it more

Its not that hard to avoid...the second you hear the "ping" just run.  Sure, you'll have cases like that where you cant avoid it but just because you die its not the end of the world...you respawn and just keep fighting.  I hate people that call certain weapons "noobish"...because they are fully capable of using it themselves.  Its a feature of the game that the devs put in for a reason...and just because someone chooses to use one thing and you dont even though its effective doesnt mean its noobish.  Quite honestly, Last Stand annoys me but I dont complain and protest it.

And for the record, I don't use Martydom myself.

Yeah, it's annoying but it has its uses. Having Martyrdom on when you're defending your HQ could stop the other team from destroying it.

Its not really that bad. Just don't run on top of the people you just killed. Which i understand can be hard if you knifed them, but still..

I had it for a little bit, merely to get the challenge for martyrdom kills. Never used it since, though.

Hulk never dies by martyrdom anymore.  In Hulk's experience after a couple of weeks of playing most people adapt to the use of martyrdom and rarely die by it unless it's a chaotic game mode with too many people on a small map.  Hulk SMASH martyrdom noobs.

Juggernaut is just as annoying but its a perk and its balanced and easy to avoid. Just don't rush forward after killing someone

It does piss me off sometimes. It rarely helped me, so I stopped using it a while ago.

I used it for a few levels then started using last stand.... I get more kills with last stand. I'm not really annoyed with people using it... it's easily avoidable and you can throw it back if your at the right spot at the right time.

ya it is pretty annoying but yet useful to a noob. Mostly lower ranked Nooberts (yes i created that) use it. i am 7th Prestige and i sick of owning a guy and getting killed by their matrydom because the game likes to trap you next to objects. In Headquarters it is so annoying mostly in vacant.

Another reason why I hardly play Cod4. I'm not saying its horrible, but martyrdom and constant grenade spam keeps the game from becoming one of my favorites. Oh well :\

I'd say the one of the few flaws with CoD4 is grenade spamming/martyrdom. It gets frustrating on smaller maps.

lol at everyone complaining about Martyrdom, its really easy to NOT be killed by it. Wanna know how? sprint the other way.

I use it on small maps like Shipment for the hell of it and for the fact everyone else tends to use it, so why not nade spam to the max?

I use it so that people who run around with shotguns on huge maps (or people who get really close and pray and spray) get what they deserve (which they only do get like what 5% of the time).  I almost never die from martyrdom even when I sprint over the bodies.

I hate martydom because sometimes when you are fighting mulitple people you can't get away from the grenade.

It's really not that big of a deal, it's usually not hard to avoid. As far as green perks, I hate Deep Impact more. People spraying walls with an RPD is NOT skill.

There is always a way to counter something in this game, in this case try shooting them form a distance to never get bothered by this perk ever again. You may also never want to knife if you know there is someone in the other team that is using it. I almost never die because of martyrdom anymore.

Yeah, it's skilless but at the same time it's not THAT powerful, I don't get killed by marty nades very often.

Ya'll want to know a really nice way to avoid that perk?  Stick to the hardcore modes of play.  I nearly always play hardcore team deathmatch, since I don't see the point in putting half a clip into a person just to kill them, hence my sticking to hardcore.

I only use it because everyone else does.

I really wish they'd take it out of the game though.

That's what perks are. They're special things unlocked by players to get an advantage. I don't like it but I've come to the fact that I'll have to deal with it.

I use it because I'm dog shit poor at the game, and if I can get a dirty kill then I'm going to. It's like people complaining about AWPers in Counter Strike, or folk who select the best team in sports games - these things are in the game, therefore people will use them to get ahead. Find people on your wavelength, and you might have a better time playing.

I find it reather easy to dodge. It rarely gets me.

I thought people skills would have improve greatly by now. There is no need to keep this perk in the game, it's mad cheesy, I just don't have no interest in Martyrdom. If you are a newbie (understandable) but, for an COD4 veteran to keep using this perk is mind blowing!

ReTarDedFisHy just has to say one word. "Cheap." That being said, it's not that hard to avoid, unless you lag, or can't move around, like if you're literally one second away from capturing the HQ, and some random guy jumps in, dies, and the only thing you can do, is hope. Hope.

Just run away when you hear the click, thats what I do and I never get killed by it

I love listening to nerds bitch and complain when someone gets a martydom kill, especially in search and destroy.

The worst is when you run around a corner or something right onto a guy using martyrdom because then you don't have enough time to run away unscathed.

I find it annoying too but if it's in the game then it's fair play I feel. I find myself using it less and less these days anyway as players are becoming more wise to it.

People tend to use it because everyone else uses it. Just like Juggernaut.

Marty is really preventable, if anyone dies near you it gots a full fuse you can use it to kill someone else. or save a teamate. I often find Marty as a easy way for me to get more nades.

A team of developers obviously thought each and every one of those perks had it's uses and was a good idea. If martyrdom pisses you off because your stupid enough to die by it when it's really easy to avoid than don't play or get over it. There are much harder things to deal with in that game than martyrdom, try  the juggernaut perk, or jammer, those are actually hindrances that make a person harder to kill. martyrdom is simple and easy to avoid.

I think that it is ridiculous to complain about martyrdom. Only in Hardcore mode should it not be used.
I dont use it because i find it isnt that effective. But to complain that you get killed by it is just stupid.
