    Call of Duty 4 Review

    Platforms:PC,PS3,Xbox 360

Okay so I have Just finished this game and all i can say is that it is absolutely stunning. Now I know this game came out quite a while back but I just recently purchased my Xbox 360 and this happened to be the first game I bought with it. All I can say is that this is an amazing game and is one of the best I have ever played.

Story: Usually the story in first person shooter games is entirely unimportant but in the case of Call of Duty 4 the creators (Infinity Ward) did a terrific job of making an emotional story and having you grow a strong bond with your fellow soldiers. That is a very main point in Call of Duty 4. In the beginning of the story you find out that you are new to the British SAS and your fellow teammates don't care for you at all. But as the story goes on they grow more and more attached to you. After the second mission of the game you start out as Sgt. Paul Jackson of the U.S Marines. When Playing as the Marines you do not grow as strong a bond with your fellow soldiers but you do realize how much they care for each other when a soldier has crashed and your team risks getting killed by a bomb in order to save her just because they know that no soldier is left behind. After this one of the saddest moments in gaming happens as Spoiler: Your entire squad is hit by the bomb and you are forced to move as Sgt. Paul Jackson is slowly dieing. The main plot is that a communist leader Imran Zakaev is tring to return russia to a communist state. You Play as Soap Mctavish (SAS) and Sgt Paul Jackson (Marines) and Your job is to take him out.

Graphics: Their is not that much to say about the graphics but that they are fantastic. Many times you will feel like what you are seeing is real war footage. The game also runs at a perfect 60 frames per second.

Gameplay: Gameplay in Call of Duty 4 is the best yet. You still use the sights of your weapon to shoot at enemys and I have found that shooting from the hip is nearly impossible. You will also have missions where you must assassinate someone and a really cool mission where you blow stuff up from a AC-170 gunship. Also an improvement I have enjoyed is the ability to now sprint. My only complaint is that the grenade indicator is to hard to notice when you are in the middle of shooting and I have died many times because of this.

Multyplayer: The multyplayer in Call of Duty 4 is amazing. Their are many different game types such as deathmatch, team dethmatch etc. (no capture the flag though) The graphics have been toned down a bit in multyplayer but they still look awesome. Call of Duty also has a ranking system where when you rank up you get new weapons.accessories and perks. Perks are different special things that will help you a lot in Call of Duty 4 multyplayer. My favorite is martyrdom which makes you drop a grenade when killed killing anyone around you.

This game overall is amazing and is a must get for any fps fan.

    Overall

    Story 9.5

    Gameplay 9.7

    Graphics 9.6

    Multyplayer 9.7

    Final Verdict

    Must Buy!

I'll start out by admitting that I'm not a past fan of the Call of Duty games, though not out of dislike, more out of ignorance or just never having a chance to play them. Call of Duty 4 is my first true step into the series and on the subject matter I'd say it's akin to stepping out onto the middle of a battlefield without going through boot camp first. So yes, I died a lot, it's pretty realistic and hard, but most importantly it's intense and immersive. The single player story is short, I'll ge...

The 18-35 male is a valuable commodity. They have the kind of money that allows them to afford $500 consoles, and thus makes them the hot target for developers. They work part time jobs at your local supermarket and are usually in some form of debt in spite of their spending habits. In their free time, they enjoy multiple energy drinks, weed to ease the energy drink buzz, and UFC because there are fewer highs more sweet than a good ground and pound. And their hero? The soldier.
