Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 0

The best shooter I've ever played.    Modern warfare is with out a doubt one of the best call of duty games I've ever played. The campaign while short seems like it was enough, each level, stage, whatever kept the story going, there were no useless boring bits a fluff. In addition to the compelling story and fantastic level design there is a difficulty for every level of gamer from recruit (grandmas could walk through this crap) to veteran (you'll cry, trust me :D). The controls are very intuiti...

call of duty 4 is one of the best games I have ever played 1

Every now and then there comes a game that doesn't revolutionize the gaming world but has enough in it that it is an instant hit. Call of duty 4 is such a game. Right from the onset on the game you will find yourself immersed in it. I had more fun in the first couple levels(The prologue) than I have ever had in a FPS before and that is saying a lot. The game makes you feel as though you are part of a team and what you are doing and experiencing is real. You play the game through the eyes of an ...

Doesn't revolutionize the genre but perfects it. 0

Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 4 does not do anything revolutionary, or that much different than other first person shooters, but it has instead perfects the formula. In single player you play as both an SAS operative Soap MacTavish, U.S. Marine Paul Jackson, and Lieutenant Price. The plot is delivered well through mission briefings, and a first person perspective. This with the plot twists make for a very enjoyable experience. The game’s missions aren’t only shooting your way to your objective. T...

COD4 is a "must" for all FPS fans out there. 0

Just as the FPS genre was slowly grinding to a halt and many of the major video game franchises scored mediocre ratings COD4 popped-up. COD3 was a decent game that was, just as its predecessor, was set in the WWII era. It scored mediocre ratings in the media and forced Infinity Wards to rethink their strategy. The outcome of this change in strategy is COD4. The game is nearly perfect; and there is little to be said about the flaws. If there is anything that needs to be pointed out then it is tha...

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Stomps the competition 0

Call of Duty 4 was 2007s best game. Everything about the game made it the complete package. A solid (although short) Single player. A super deep and addiciting Multiplayer as well as being one the best First Person Shooters to ever be developed. COD4 has more than top notch production values, it has personality! It rocks hard as hell and here's why:Story: An Terror leader known as Al Asad has taken nuclear weapons and killed the president of Saudi Arabia. The country is now engulfed in War and t...

    Kaiser's COD4 Review 0

This game is one of the best games ever made - PERIOD. From the very first intro of the single player action to the 10th prestige level for the online multiplayer, its the best game going. Countless hours, countless kills, countless deaths but they are combine to great one of the best games of modern gaming. The COD4 engine is beyond good - its extremely sound and the team at IW did a great job creating this game. They took a chance on modern combat and nailed it out of the gate....

War has never been so fun! 0

Good: Great story mode, Amazing multiplayer. Over all great graphics Bad: Some textures are bad to look at up close. ----------------------------------- Call of Duty 4 is clearly the 4th main installment in the CoD games. This is the first one to go modern. What does this mean for the game? Well it opens up for new tools of war, and what feels like a full of fun package. The story in Call of Duty is simple yet very enjoyable. A rebel group in the middle east has ties with a Russian ultranatio...

    Best in the series 0

Call of Duty 4 is without doubt the best Call of Duty game ever made. From its' jump from WW2 to Modern Warfare to its dynamic and powerful single player this is one shooter that is essential to get. The single player campaign is short, however depending on what difficulty you choose to play the game on. If you play it on normal then expect to play for 4-5 hours before completing it. However this is doubled if you play in Veteran as you have to camp more, move slower and yes retry alot. However ...

    Multiplayer Madness 0

Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the Xbox 360 is the first game which got me properly addicted. Every kill in the multiplayer in Team Death matches earns 10 points. As you gain more points, you go up levels, and as you go up more levels, you unlock more guns and perks. This process takes longer and longer as the points required to advance another level get larger the more levels you go up. For example it is possible to get from level 1 to level 2 in about 5 minutes, but it will take several gam...

Addicting I Played For HOURS! 0

The backbone to COD4 is its muliplayer, the game has crack in it I could seriously go for six hours non stop. Multiplayer is so well thought out, the class system is what makes you keep going because you have to play to progress. Unlike in some games you have money and at your tenth time playing you have the best gun. It does not work that way this is a very strategic battlefield you have to watch every corner look through every window you never who's camping. Camping this is the cheapest and m...

The Most wonderful FPS game in 2007 .Thanks to the amazing story 0

I have to say that, it's a perfect game by all means, the story, the graphics, the soldiers even the writes on the walls in the Mideast region, it's all well made, cause I'm an Arabic and I can understand the writing on the wall, and the best part of game when back 15 years ago and you will take the role of Capt. Price when he was lieutenant. back there you will run right beside enemies while they talking ,watching or even executing other soldiers, and the enemy BMP's pass just beside you, and t...

COD 4: Modern War conquers all 0

World War II has been a standard setting for FPS games for some time now. Call of Duty got started in the WWII setting while the sequel was the same. Both games managed to differentiate themselves from the crowd of still growing WWII games by including some of the most finely tuned gameplay in any shooter. Call of Duty 4 continues that tradition of excellent gameplay, and in this version, it has been tweaked and polished to perfection along with the new setting it all takes place in. It comes to...

What can I say, this game is just simply amazing. I just can't see why gamespot didn't give this game a 9.5, it's so addicting. Anyways this isn't just a game, it's GREAT game. With all the explosions, Guns etc... it's like call of duty 2 on crack. Further more let's get started with the review. The bad : There wasn't much bad about this game other then 2 things, One is how there isn't Co - op mode. Come one call of duty 4, just please give us it, if you did this game would be perfect. The very definition of a FPS 0

The Call of Duty series finally moves beyond WWII and its the best move they could have made. Infinity Ward has crafted the best first-person shooter I have ever played on any platform. Presentation: Graphics are beautiful and at a silky smooth frame rate. The sounds of the battlefield are clear and intense. You truly feel your in the front lines. Gameplay: It is simply done right. The gunfights are just right with some very fun side missions such as playing as a sniper in a ghillie suit. The...

Call of Duty 4 Weaponry Review 0

One of my favorite aspects of Call of Duty 4 is the huge arrangement of weapon choice, and what can be done with them.  In no other game can you customize your guns to the same extent as CoD4.  Not only is the amount of choice amazing, but the work Infinity Ward put into making the weapons realistic is mind-boggling.  The distinct sound of each individual weapon to the way they are handled displays this commitment to excellence that makes CoD4 so enjoyable.      Customization: so much to ch...

Call Of Duty 4 has a blend of great action and thrills. 0

The first three COD's are all very good games, developed by Treyarch, who made three great and realistic World War 2 games. But none of these compare to Infinity Ward's COD4, they decided to take a extreme risk by making the fourth COD set in modern times and it has paid off. The campaign follows a British Spec Ops Team and the US Forces in their fight against the Russians and the Middle East. It excites you from start to finish but as every one is saying, it is short. The campaign will last ab...

Strong emotional story and amazing multi-player shooting action! 0

First of all "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" is possibly the best war game out there, and praise the lord its been taken out of the WWII era, it was getting done in way to many games, but I've gotta give it to "Activision" they did do it the best. Anyway, back to the modern day, this is still the great addictive game-play you've come to know and love from "Call of Duty" and the graphics are better than before, all the different environments look amazing and feel like your in a real dangerous w...

    Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare--Review 0

Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare is the 4th true installment of the great COD franchise.  This time around, Infinity Ward takes a more modern route instead of the usual WWII story.Single PlayerCall of Duty 2 is well known as one of the best fps single player experiences of all time. I totally agree with that. For the most part, COD4 delivers on all of that. But it still lacks a few things that made COD2 such a special game. First of all, when playing COD2, throughout the entire game there was a con...

Most entertaining FPS on 360 0

The title maintains the most longevity of any FPS currently available.  The multiplayer alone makes it worth owning and playing over and over again.  A deep class and reward system make for near endless opportunity to earn more kudos in the game.  And even when not trying to achieve something the gameplay is so solid and smooth that it makes putting any other FPS into the console seem laggy and unpolished....

    Singleplayer vs. Multiplayer 0

SIngle PlayerThe story was exciting and addicting which led me to push myself to fight through each level to find out what happens next.  On the other hand, many of the levels were created to just throw mass numbers of enemies at you which to some is exciting and to others a nightmare.  My biggest problem with the single player experience is the only way get through a level is to run through the level to the next checkpoint running and gunning as much as you can, so gamers who enjoy the rainbow ...

    A Must-Buy for Shooter Fans 0

Call of Duty is back and better than ever. Ditching the WWII theme in favour of “Modern Warfare” is certainly what makes this instalment stand out from the rest. With the change in theme you get to play as either a British SAS soldier or an American Marine - with the roles interchanging as the single player progresses. There is a marked difference between playing as either - as a marine you will find yourself with dozens of fellow soldiers at your side, taking on the enemy in a middle eastern se...

Call of Duty 4 Review 0

Personally, I thought Call of Duty 4 was a good game. The best game? No, but it is worth buying. The story mode is as long as it needs to be, and the graphics are very nice. However, like most FPS games, the story mode is linear. Still, after beating the game, it's still fun to go through it one more time(especially if you're playing on Veteran). Multiplayer is probably the best part of the game, and has many different game types. This helps make the multiplayer a little less repetitive, as well...

    Isn't War Fun? 0

Call of Duty was one of the best WWII games of all time; it was also one of the best shooters of 2003. When Infinity Ward stated that they were over WWII for the next Call Duty game, Call of Duty 4, it made us wonder how well the game would transfer. Let me say with out a doubt, Call of Duty 4 is easily one of the best packages of the year. It has everything, a powerful story, awesome graphics, superb sound, an awesome single player campaign, and an even better multi-player to back it up, Call ...

    With a short-but-sweet campaign, and incredible multiplayer, COD4 0

The WWII shooters thing has been truly overdone now, and Infinity Ward has picked up on that, which is why they decided to make Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. Forget everything you know about Call of Duty, because you are now no longer fighter in war-torn Europe, but now the Middle East as well as Russia. The single-player campaign is relatively short, and takes around four to six hours to complete, assuming you've played shooters before. The missions are diverse and always feel new. You'll find...

Idk if it is just Live (mostly Live) but online for this fail game is the worst ever made. In my opinion it is fucking horrendous. I don't understand why EVERYONE! uses a god damn M16, 3 frag,  deep impact, and FUCKING JUGGERNAUT! Time to answer the call 0

Call of Duty 4 is breaking new ground for the long running Infinity Ward series. This is the first time Call of Duty 4 has been brought into the modern realm. Infinity Ward’s portrayal on the modern world is refreshing; Even though many games take place in this setting, Call of Duty 4 still remains unique. The single player portion of the Call of Duty games has always been very directed and cinematic and this game stays true to that tradition. The campaign tracks two separate soldiers as they w...

    Just amazing 0

I started playing the call of duty series with finest hour. This game had a great single player, but the multi player was somewhat lacking as constant camping toned down the action. Slowly the call of duty series has kept delivering what it started by only tweaking small things in its game. This time around call of duty is perhaps one of the best shooters out. This game can stand its own against the likes of Rainbow 6 and Halo 3. The campaign is jam packed with moments where your jaw will drop a...

However this game took be by surprise. After spending a short but engrossing 5 hours on single player I was in for a surprise after I'd finished it. Call of Duty 4 0

Call Of Duty 4 is one of those video game sequels with a lot of respect for its heritage; so much so, in fact, that it decides to do exactly what the other games in the franchise did and just stick a slightly higher number at the end of the title. That doesn't necessarily make it a bad game, but it doesn't help. Now, before everyone gets all pissed off let me say: I like this game, I like the multi player, hell I like the whole goddamn franchise (except for "Big Red One")! I also like innovati...

    Excellant Game 0

The talented developers out of Encino , Infinity Ward are back with a bang and this bang comes in the form of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Finally the developers took this fantastic series out of the 1940’s and killing Nazis with the M1 Garand and shooting its way into the 21 century fighting global terror with an Mp5. But trust me there is a lot more to the new Call of Duty other than just the new time period. The single player is great, and amazing multiplayer options and stunning visuals m...

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb 0

Regardless of your opinion of World of Warcraft, you can’t deny the game is a juggernaut. Sure, it may not have implemented many new ideas, but what it offered was a package of elements so refined, it may as well be purest heroin to people who like that kind of game. Call of Duty 4 has managed to do the same thing with the FPS. Sure, you’ve played the modern combat shooter before in other games; you probably already know by heart the assortment of weapons you’ll wield throughout both single play...

Best Call of Duty Game Yet 2

I have been following the Call of Duty series since the first game, released back in 2003. I have always played them on the PC and was disappointed when Call of Duty 3 was released on consoles only. I was afraid one of my favorite series had been lost to the consoles, but thankfully COD4 made its way to the PC this time around. I was afraid when I heard that COD4 would not be set in World War 2, but rather in a series of fictional, modern-day conflicts. I feared it would lose that special touch...

Solid gameplay coupled with excellent graphics 0

When it was first announced that Call of Duty 4 would be departing from its classical roots in the WWII era, I must admit that I was a bit disappointed and worried, to say the least. Not just because I happen to be a WWII "fan" either, but because of how well Call of Duty has managed to capture the feeling of what most of us can only assume it must have been like. Since the birth of Call of Duty, realism has been redefined in first person shooters, while still retaining the essence of gaming and...

Enter Soap MacTavish and Phil Jackson, part of the S.A.S. and the U.S. marines. They are on a series of missions to uphold Russia's backlash created by the ultimatist leaders. The game basically revolves around that aspect. You have to do a series of missions where you have to progress further to find these leaders or you have to actually kill them. There are four difficulties in this game, recruit, regular, hardened and veteran. Recruit is for beginners, regular is one step higher. The differen...

First of all, let's start off by saying that if you like Call of Duty 2, or even Call of Duty 3 (made by a different developer), you will love the fourth entry in the series. Call of Duty 4 is an outstanding game that you'll enjoy if you're a fan of first-person shooters or fun, for that matter. Let's start off with the options. The game features a campaign mode as well as an arcade mode, which is unlocked after completing campaign on any difficulty. The arcade mode is much like Halo 3's scori...

Call of Duty 4: Not World War II 0

Who’s to say that a game without flaws isn’t perfect? I struggled to even point to an area in Call of Duty 4 where I felt it wasn’t good enough. The game is certainly difficult. And the game can be summed up in only a few sentences. But just being a first person shooter should never reflect on the quality of the product. Its basic element does not also imply that it’s basic. In a genre with rules it’s still pretty rare to see anything follow and perfect those rules. Re-tread? Depends on the cont...

COD4 is a great game, although it is in no way perfect 0

For a while now, the Call of Duty series has just been based on WW2.  The previous games in the series were great, all recreating famous battles from World War Two. The series also had its trademark iron sights, which was the key to aiming successfully and killing your enemies on the battlefield. But, as somebody pointed out, people have been making games about WW2 for longer than the war actually lasted. Infinity Ward obviously realised this, and decided to give the series a much need overhaul...

SingleplayerCall of Duty 4's campaign is extremely short. I'll get that out of the way. In fact, I would have half a mind to not recommend this because of it's length, if not for the ridiculously streamlined gameplay, and amazing production values. Call of Duty 4 is a game that deserves lots of praise for creating THE deepest online experience as well as a fun solo campaign. I've officially shelved Halo 3 as my "shooter of choice", and haven't been able to put down COD4 since I picked it up.The biggest accomplishment the game makes is in its online experience. Since the online game play makes it possible to unlock weapons, rankings, abilities, etc, the user can pop in COD4 and never have to play the offline campaign if he or she chooses. T...

Never Has There Been a More Exhilarating Rollercoaster 2

The single-player experience in Call of Duty 4 is a rollercoaster, plain and simple. You are on rails, so to speak, the entire time, never truly choosing your own course. Sure, there may be a section of a level or two where you are allowed to choose one of two or three objectives to shoot for first, but your decisions as a player are wholly inconsequential and have no impact on the gameplay. This, for me, was a beautiful thing. Yes, I am aware that is completely goes against everything t...
