While it Doesn't do anything really new, it is still a good game.

The good: Still very good Multiplayer - Graphics are Top notch - Sharp sound effects followed by great voice acting - Same great Call of duty gameplay you know and love - New Spec ops mode gives the game even more replay value - Customizable Kill-streaks.

The bad: Campaign is One of the shortest ever - Nothing in the game feels new - No vehicles in Multiplayer.

Now when i say short I mean it. the game took me maybe Three and a half hours to beat. And on veteran Difficulty maybe twice that amount of time. Even though it is a very short game, the campaign is filled with action. From infiltrating a heavily defended castle to storming the White house. While yes it is filled with these great moments, After a while big explosions and and shocking moments in each mission gets really boring after a while.

The story follows a few years after Call of duty 4 where you kill Zakhahev, A new terrorist leader emerges and is out for revenge.
Makarov Is out for revenge and gets it in a plan that starts World War 3.
I'm not going to spoil everything for you but lets just say he murders an entire airport full of people in Russia and frames an American. Therefore making the Russians Invading the U.S. and World War 3 starts.

And now there is a new Special ops mode where you can Play by yourself with a friend online or in local split-screen. Although i would suggest doing spec-ops in co-op since the missions can be VERY hard especially on veteran.
There is a big variety in missions for spec-ops mode, In some of them you will be required to try and get past numerous enemies and guard dogs using suppressed weapons. Others have different objectives, Where as one missions places you on the golden gate bridge and you have to try and blow up every vehicle while defending yourself from enemies. And there are also a few that place in on a snowmobile trying to beat set times. And another snow mobile mission that has you trying to keep time on the clock, by driving through two flags at certain points along the way. Miss enough flags and the time will run out resulting in game over.

Other missions include air support, while one player is in say and AC-130 the other player is on the ground trying to get to certain point on the map while the other player in the AC-130 is providing fire support from above.
There are about maybe 20 or more spec ops missions in total and they will last you a long time especially if you are trying for a perfect three stars on them all.

And now comes the star of the show.
The Multiplayer consists of Online, 4 Player local split-screen, or System link. And instead of Online multiplayer being the only MP mode you can rank up in. Split-screen AND system link also allow you to rank up separately from Xbox LIVE or PsN.
However the Online Multiplayer should be the main Attraction here With 70 levels to try and reach and 10 prestige's. A prestige is after you rank up to level 70 and get about 80,000 more XP You have the chance to prestige. And what that does is it sets you back to level 1 takes away all your weapons and resets all challenges. However you do get to keep all your titles and emblems you earned. Emblems and titles are kinda like Halo 3's emblem's. And if you have never played Halo then think of them as your dog tags, Which you can choose one Title where that maybe one called "grim reaper" which features a pretty cool Chinese dragon. And your emblem maybe be a golden eagle.

The way you unlock Titles and emblems is by either completing challenges listed in the barracks or some that you can unlock by leveling up or some you might unlock by doing certain things. Like getting a 10 kill-streak without using any kill-streak rewards.
And kill-streaks this time they allow you to choose from about 15 different kill-streaks but you only get 3 at any given time. although you have to unlock the kill-streak by just leveling up. The order you unlock them in is entirely up to you. The kill-streaks are not a very big variety although each is useful. The first Kill-streak is the UAV which you may remember from Call of duty 4, Then there is a counter-UAV which blocks your enemies from being able to see your position, the care package which will drop a random kill-streak or just ammo, A predator missile which lets you guide a missile to anywhere you want on the map, A sentry gun that is controlled by AI and will shoot at anyone except for you that crosses it's path.

There are lots more Kill-streaks but listing them all and describing would take forever so here is just short list of the rest.
Precision Airstrike, Harrier strike, Attack chopper, emergency airdrop, Pave-low, stealth bomber, AC-130, Chopper gunner, E.M.P. And the nuke Which I have never seen anyone ever in my entire 150+ hours of playing the game online, Have never seen anyone get a nuke Legitimately.

The weapons Are what you might expect, except there are tons of them. Instead of the Secondary weapons just being a pistol, this time around it can be a machine pistol, a Shotgun, A pistol, or some kinda of rocket launcher. Main weapons Consist of Sniper Rifles, Assault rifles, SMG's, Light machine guns and now there is riot-shield you can use that will replace you primary weapon. When you have the Riot-shield out you have no weapon but protection of your front body, and you can melee with the Shield so you are not entirely defenseless. And When you have your secondary weapon out the shield will protect your back.
Weapon attachments are pretty standard, Suppressor, red dot sight, grenade launcher, Acog scope. But you can use those attachments to unlock more better attachments.

Perks are back And this time all of them are useful Unlike in call of duty 4 where you would probably only use a certain few, this time you are more likely to have a hard time choosing. The perks come in three different classes and you get to choose one from each of those classes.
The blue class includes Bling which allows you to have two weapon attachments instead of just one, Scavenger allows you to pick up ammo off dead enemies, Marathon gives you unlimited sprint, and others.
The red class Includes the ever popular stopping power which improves bullet damage, Coldblooded keeps you being seen on radar and from being seen by some kill-streaks, Danger close improves explosives damage.
The yellow class includes Ninja which keeps your from being seen by heartbeat sensors, Scrambler which keeps enemies from being to see on radar within a certain range, Last stand which allows you a second chance to kill the person who killed you.
After you complete most of the challenges for any perk you will unlock the Pro version of that perk. For instance regular Ninja only keeps you from being seen on Heartbeat sensors where as Ninja Pro will make your footsteps silent which is very useful for sneaking up on enemies.
And there are also death-streak perks. Which after a certain amount of deaths will enable and will enhance you in any number of ways. The most popular has to be Painkiller, be More than doubles your health for 10 seconds.

The graphics are top notch and will still be good for years to come, Although there are some minor clipping issues, it's nothing major but I did find it annoying that i got shot through the wall because my leg was sticking through the wall enabling someone to know where I was.

The sound is sharp, guns sound realistic voice acting is very believable and the music is placed very well to help dramatic, or sorrow moments throughout the game.

Overall I did not find as innovative and call of duty 4, But I can say that I will be playing this game years from now

Entertaining singleplayer, addictive multiplayer & co-op to boot! 0

Modern Warfare 2 takes place five years after the events of of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Despite your best efforts, the ultra-nationalist have wrangled control of Russia proclaiming Zakhaev, everyone's favourite one-armed bad guy, as a national hero and political martyr. As in previous Call of Duty games, you step inside the body of several distinct characters over the course of  the campaign's five to seven hours of gameplay. Though entertaining, the story itself twist and turns so radica...

      Even more Modern Warfare-r 0

Coming into Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, I had a high set of expectations, primarily set by Infinity Ward's previous game; Call of Duty 4. CoD4 came completely out of left field for me, revitalising my interest in what I believed to be a tired, played-out franchise; the change of setting, compelling campaign, and addictive multiplayer making it one of my top 5 games of 2007. Riding in on this wave of euphoria and excitement Modern Warfare 2 had a lot to live up to.   The campaign follows a si...
