why not? it's a video game and we're on a video game website. the Modern Warfare name also seems to be pretty big.

The last installment of the Modern Warfare trilogy brings World War 3 to the world of Call of Duty. While the U.S., British, and French armed forces try to push back the Russian invasion, the disavowed Task Force 141 begin their hunt for international terrorist Vladimir Makarov.
Do you want GB to continue their coverage of modern warfare 3?
Regardless of whether people like it or not, it's going to be a massively popular game. Why wouldn't they cover one of the biggest releases of the year?
@Mahonay: idiot read the poll im not saying they shouldnt, im asking what people PERSONALLY THINKIt is dumb though.
@Mahonay: idiot read the poll im not saying they shouldnt, im asking what people PERSONALLY THINKHEY GUYS, DO YOU THINK GIANT BOMB SHOULD STILL COVER GAMES? PERSONALLY I THINK THEY SHOULD SPEND MORE TIME ON HANDBAGS.
Your question is arbitrary and irrelevant. Good sir, I am not the idiot here.
No not really.... the game seems to be rehashed, the characters that actually matter seem to have barely any screen time, and where are the new features? I hated Spec Ops why would I want to play it again? It seems also the people at GB were not that impressed by it either.
Of course. It would be like asking a business news website to not cover anything relating to the oil industry.
Modern Warfare is huge. It's one of the biggest selling franchises ever. What next? Should stop covering Mario? Uncharted? Halo? Starcraft? Maybe they should cover games that only certain users are interested in. That would be a great way to make this site more appealing.
I want them to cover it. Who knows, it might be MINDBLOWING. Probably not, but there is a chance.
Why wouldn't you want coverage of a game? Seems weird to me.
Yeah, I like reading about games I will probably never play. I've seen all the Quick Looks involving the Wii and I don't own one and in all likelihood, never will. Now, I might play MW3 at some point in the future, but since I only play single-player games these days, it won't be until I can buy it used cheap. In the meantime, though since COD is such a force in the gaming industry, I believe it is important to see what it is doing and what the response is to it since it might herald changes in the overall gaming industry. I don't play World of Warcraft anymore either, but I still want to know what Blizzard is up to with that franchise for those same reasons.
Whether we hate it or not, whether it sucks or not, whether the staff dislike it or not, it's the most popular game around.
Being that popular makes it a social necessity for us players to play it so we be part of the shindig, and it's a social necessity for video game journalists to be 'hip' to it in order to be cool.
Jeff, a long-time video game journalist who allegedly owns 3000+ games and who is widely praised as an honest and experienced gamer, talks about COD in the annual COD Quick Look like it's some hot innovative new game.. He has to act like he likes it, and has to have his VG-based website cover it, because it's the hot stuff.
Number of people who didn't read poll close enough: 12234343243243Wow, way to act immature.
I personally think they should cover as many games as they can, and especially the ones with a lot of hype built around them. So yes, I want them to continue their coverage.
OP is an idiot.
No, I don't want them to cover it as I have no interest in the game. However, there's a ton of people who want info on it, and it's a big franchise (no idea why) so of course they should fucking cover it. This is a loaded question, and a poor attempt at trolling. Try harder next time, child.
Can you at least give us some sort of reasoning as to why we might not want them to? What is the meaning of all this? I'm assuming you hate Modern Warfare and are incredibly bothered by it being a newsworthy game?
I don't play that much Call of Duty and I never have, but come on, it's a pretty good game. It may or may not be relevant to your interests, but this bullshit trend in which nerds immediately assume that anything popular is automatically bad is extremely annoying.
Seriously, nerd is the new hipster.
WoW is a pretty good game, console ports are perfectly competent entertainment and there is no intrinsic advantage in PC gaming or keyboard and mouse controls. Moving on.
@Ahmad_Metallic: Oh man, you are on a roll with your crazy posts. Keep it up <3Thanks baby!
It's true though, don't you think? Imagine the GB staff disliking COD and thus not covering it so well/talking about it with interest. You just failed to compute because you couldn't imagine that because it's impossible, right? :)
@GunslingerPanda: I ASKED IF YOU WANTED PERSONALLY FOR THEM TO COVER IT THATS ALLNo, you were asking a loaded question to get attention because you think you are unique in disliking CoD.
