Born on July, 4th 1917 in Manhattan, New York. By the 1940's, Rogers was a tall scrawny art student. When America entered WWII, Rogers tried to enlist but was quickly rejected because of his poor physical state.
A U.S. Army officer soon found Rogers and asked him to participate as a test subject in a top-secret project known as Operation: Rebirth. The secret operation intended to develop a superhuman soldier. As a chance to serve for his country, Rogers accepted. After trails and process of selection, the Army chose Rogers as their first test subject.
Rogers receives: injections, doses, & is exposed to "Vita Rays" . Upon the process, Rogers scrawny body is shown to grow muscle instantly to nearly maximum efficiency. The test was successful and Rogers was declared a nearly perfect human being. Not too long after, a Nazi spy reveals himself and shoots the scientist who created the serum "Erskine". Erskine had the formula only in memory and was not able to duplicated since. Rogers kills the spy and then after vows the defense for America.
The government soon uses the only super soldier as their propaganda symbol. Giving him the costume resembling the American Flag and a bullet proof shield with a personal side arm. He became a counter-intelligence agent and received codename: Captain America. James Barnes, a friend of Captain America finds out his real identity and tells him that he will keep it a secret if he can be his sidekick. Captain America agrees and trains "Bucky" as his new sidekick. President Franklin D. Roosevelt meets Rogers and gives him a newer version of his shield fused with steel and vibranium. The shield is indestructible and yet light enough to carry around. Captain America enjoys the shield well enough where it was proved effective and then loses the side arm. On the final days of WWII, the final mission Captain America and Bucky had was to go and destroy the experimental drone plane. The plane launched with both Captain America and Bucky on it. While Bucky was trying to defuse the bomb, it explodes and Captain America is sent to the ocean of the North Atlantic.
Years and years later, Superhero team the Avengers find Captain America's frozen body in the ocean with his costume and shield. He managed to survive such a state because of Operation: Rebirth. Rogers accepts to be in the Avengers as they saw his combat skills would be great for the team. Not too long after he becomes leader, and returns to that position throughout all of the teams history.
Rogers finally sees long time pal and war comrade Nick Fury. Though because frozen and having taken the super soldier serum he did not age as Nick Fury did. Though Nick Fury did take the "Infinity Formula" which also preserved him though not as well. As Nick Fury was executive director, Rogers regularly took missions for S.H.I.E.L.D.
The Cap opposes the federal registration of all super-power beings, he sees it wrong for the superhero liberty. He begins to lead the Anti-Registration Resistance movement. Considered a fugitive, Rogers goes against his best friend Iron Man and the Pro-Registration group.
Captain America battles Iron Man during the climatic battle of the civil war. Captain America winning the battle between the two, has Iron Man on state where Cap has a chance to do a finishing blow but is quickly restrained by the civilians of the city. Rogers then realized he put the people he sworn to protect in harms way and finishes surrendering to the authorities.
After his surrender, he is charged on multiple charges. As he is being brought down the federal courthouse, A sniper get a direct hit on his back and as the aftermath he ends up being shot three more times. Captain America gets taken to the hospital, where he dies. It is soon revealed that Red Skull was behind the plot and had Crossbones as the sniper and Sharon Carter hypnotized to shoot Captain America in a critical moment. The entire community gets shaken down by the kill. Captain America is laid to rest in the public at Arlington National Cemetery, where a monument is built of the prestige's hero. Tony Stark gave a fake body to lay at the cemetery where Hank Pym and he took the actual body of Steve Rogers to the ocean where he was first found years back.
