Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 3 (loosely translated to "Dragon Ball Z: Super Fighting Story 3") is a 2D sci-fi fantasy fighting game developed by TOSE and published by Bandai for the Super Famicom in Japan on September 29, 1994. It was later released in both France and Spain in March 1995 under the name Dragon Ball Z: Ultime Menace (loosely translated to "Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Menace").

Based on the Dragon Ball manga and anime series, Super Butoden 3 is the third installment of the Super Butoden series of fighting games (and the last in the original trilogy). Building upon the gameplay engine and graphical style of Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2, it brings the series to the "Majin Buu Saga" arc of the Dragon Ball Z storyline (set seven years after the events of Super Butoden 2), where the evil wizard Babidi resurrects the monster Majin Buu (after possessing some warriors, such as Vegeta).

Unlike its predecessors, the game does not include a Story Mode of any kind.

    Characters

The game includes 10 playable characters, one of whom must be unlocked for play with a cheat code.
