Duke Nukem Forever has been pushed back to a later June 14 release in North America and a June 10 release (a whopping four days earlier) elsewhere. It was supposed to hit worldwide shelves in early May, but something, obviously, got in the way of that.

What’s forcing Gearbox Software and publisher 2K’s hand in this postponement is unknown, but the reason must have been significant. Upon picking up Duke Nukem Forever, Gearbox was firm about not discussing possible release dates or launch windows for the shooter. Delays, much like engine swaps, are a legacy issue for DNF. Gearbox just wanted to make absolutely sure that whatever date was set, was the date the game would hit without a shadow of a doubt. Whoops!

At least the Texas-based developer has the right kind of attitude about all of this. In the following video, Randy Pitchford pokes some fun at himself and DNF about this delay.

Insert "delaying game to change engines" joke here. Kidding aside, if it means some more final tweaks before it finally comes out, then yay for gearbox really.

This is either one of two things: 
 
1. A delay for the sake of delaying it, because that's what we know this game for. 
 
2. An April Fool's joke, despite Gearbox denying it. I mean, who puts this much effort into announcing a delay? And the fact that they go over the top with announcing it. (Then again, this is DNF after all.)  
 
This almost makes me wanna hear Brad Nicholson lose it at Anthony Burch... almost.

Saw this news article coming? I did! 
Saw it coming a day ago when I read this stuff on another site. What I didn't see coming is the people who actually care. Then again I don't really know those types of people because it's the same people who giggle like little girls when the word "Cock" is mentioned. 

at this point, its a tradition to delay this game. it aint DNF without delaying it once

I'll bet this was supposed to be an April fools joke that somebody screwed up on and posted early. 
 
The video was fairly silly and the revised release dates don't make much sense.

I do not believe that DNF is a game, not until i can play through the entire game. Only then will i believe.

DNF is coming out on April 1st.

it begins, i hope that Duke Nukem Forever becomes a game that brings down developers who think they can finish and ship the game but they can't the game's code is cursed, and george broussard is always warning other's about the cursed code and george can't die until the game is finished, that would be really funny, but maybe the game is coming out on april 1st instead and this just smoke and mirrors for that
