    Overview

Elite Soccer/World Cup Striker is a soccer game developed by Rage Software in 1994. It is essentially a repackaged version of Striker, with new features and few improvements as well as heavily featuring the 1994 World Cup. For its World Cup mode, it includes the 24 qualifying teams and an additional eight teams that failed to qualify (such as Denmark, England, Japan and France) that the player can mix and match into groups of their choice. They can also decide which teams will be player or computer controlled (if two computer teams compete the game will simply generate a result).

Elite Soccer was also released for the Game Boy. Developed by Denton Designs, it was also published in Japan by Coconuts Japan as "World Cup Striker". This was its name in Europe as well, where it was published by Elite Systems.
