The free EVE: Odyssey expansion has launched, and if you're interested in trying out the game there's plenty of positive additions and changes to the game.

New Additions in Odyssey
There are already plenty of changes in Odyssey that are going to have bigger impacts on longer term players, but those aren't of much note to someone just starting eve. Here are some changes that will affect you!
- Big Changes to Exploring - If you're interested in pursuing a career in exploration in EVE, the changes in Odyssey make that much more attractive. There's a new sensor overlay that shows anomalies in space, changes to probe scanning that make it faster and easier, new scanning modules and more loot to be grabbed
- Hacking Minigame - A new hacking activity you will have to complete at sites to unlock loot drops. And when you do, better be fast, because you'll have a few seconds to grab the loot that pops out into space before it disappears.
- New Exploration Tutorials that will teach you everything you need to know about the career.
- Improvements to UI with new Radial Navigation Tool - Not a huge change, but a potentially easier way to interact with the game world
- Sound improvements. Things sound better!
- New travel transitions when jumping, Nicer looking station hangers, Your pod blows up better
- Tons and tons of other changes as well as smaller tweaks
