Explosives are one of the most common type of weapon you will see in games. This ranges from a landmine to a 1000 ft oil tanker.

An explosive is any item that creates an explosion, whether it be afrag grenade or a giant bomb. in video games explosions are often thrown out of proportion while few try to be portrayed realistically.  Games will often have one shoot something that normally would not explode (such as a gas tank or propane tank) and have a humungous explosion.

A nuclear explosion! Pretty wild stuff!

A explosive is defined as anything that either is chemically or energetically unstable that produces a sudden expansion of matter often followed by the production of heat and a large change in pressure upon combustion. Explosives often but not always include loud noises or bright flashes.
