Full page ads on IOS - Redirecting

For the last two weeks or so every time i visit GB on my iOS phone, I get full page ads that eventually redirect a thousand times and i wind up in the app store. It's so bad and fast that I cant even log into my premium account to avoid it, because it just instantly loads away from GB into adCity.

Does anyone have a similar experience? I know theres nothing wrong with my phone (I actually work with them for a living), so i can't figure out for the life of me why GB would have such toxic adverts on mobile.

Experiencing exact same issue on mobile, newest iOS (whichever it is) and using Safari.

Site is unusable at the moment. Pretty bad look.

Not nearly as bad as redirects but still ugly as fuck on the desktop site.

Got one of those, "You've been selected to win an iPhone 7!" and then redirected to a website that wouldn't let me exit out until I hit a button not 30 seconds ago trying to come to the website on my iPhone 6s.

Giant Bomb should remove page ads. Any time I see them because I am not logged and have adblock off they don't look great. And then I always hear about horror stories such as this. I would think they turn more people away from the site, not getting premium, thus making less money without ads. But I don't have the analytics so what do I really know?

I found the same thing today. Some ad that had a spinner wheel to win a $*(%*# Walmart gift card or something.

I have also been getting this on my PC. I get redirected to a ad asking to fill out a survey on my internet provider.

I posted in the other thread before I saw this, so I'll repost here. I got an "Urgent Chrome update" tab open when I wasn't signed in. It seems to be fairly common and linked to ads. http://techdows.com/2016/07/fake-urgent-chrome-update.html

Got redirected today in a chromium-based browser from these two URL's on load (as far as I recall because I had spawned a couple tabs):

• https://www.giantbomb.com/forums/

to a globaltalentstrategies.top domain site with a "prize" survey.

I haven't paid for premium in a long while but still kind of a bummer that less "savvy" people might get hooked by this. Plus I only filter malware and social media domains because there should be some room for internet advertisement IMO but stuff like this makes me question that.
