Any news on what's happening with the Gamespot memberships?

Yeah, so I've really been wondering what we have to do in order to get the upgraded pass memberships for Gamespot?

Is there a code we have to type in upon registration, do we link accounts or do we have to use the same e-mail or what? Tell you what I'm plain super confused.

GB haven't really, to my knowledge, put any details out about this stuff, maybe they have and I've been a complete ditz and missed it, as I'm prone to do.

How's this whole thing going to work? I mean I can't wait until they start doing some membership content together, GB+GS, and I'm worried I'm missing some of it on Gamespot if it's already happening.

I believe I've heard you get a code. You could then use it for your GameSpot account, or I don't know, sell it to the highest bidder.

They will email a code.

Then you can delete that email at your leisure.

Ah right, thanks. Mods may want to answer this for certainty, if they know, and then sticky it for future confusion of other people.

When everythin switches over next week, they will email the codes out.

I'm pretty sure Dave said there will be a code emailed out to redeem on GameSpot. I don't know when that will happen.

What I am wondering if they change the prices due to it not including all the WM sites anymore. Will a Premium on GB gets you a Premium on GS and CV too?

Pretty sure he said somewhere that it would happen sometime this month.

If I can't use my code to turn Giantbomb into Gamespot ICE, I don't want it!

Don't worry dude, when the codes start going out you're going to see at least 20 different "I got my Gamespot code" threads.

Will the upgraded GameSpot account remove ads from the site? Because on the rare occasion I find myself over there I do a double-take after being used to an ad-free experience here.

@bighat_logan: Look, a perk for premium subscribers is not the same as crossover content. I don't get how you can confuse the two.

This is to people that subscribe before the 15th right?
