Bring back Random PC Game damnit!

Come on! It's arguably one of the best features on the site and I'm honestly itching for it's return to greatness once our beloved new dad Vinnie comes back to work. There's so many fantastic old-school adventure titles that I've got a feeling the users young and old would love. Yes, I have suggestions so bear with me.

1. Any Gabriel Knight Game: Tim Curry playing a womanizing New Orleans vagabond/hack writer. Who also investigates and hunts down the supernatural with a hot Japanese sidekick. How can you possibly go wrong? Watching Vinnie and Dave attempting to solve the Le Serpent Rogue puzzle in GK3 might put their collective wits to the limit. I love a challenge.

2. The Longest Journey: It's a daunting task, I know. Still possibly one of the best PC games ever made. The sweet mixture of kick-ass science fiction and fantasy elements and one of the smartest plots ever in a videogame would make it a treat to watch.

3. Grim Fandango: Noir meets Mexican folklore. Pure genius.

Not sure if equal to, or worse than, asking for a new ER.

I'm not sure you can bring something back if it hasn't officially gone away. Be patient, my friend. The Bombgods have not abandoned us.

It's neither, it's a silly, spontaneous 1 hour segment they can do any time they feel like it, and it was probably the best thing on the site.

Well, they're unable to do PC quick looks currently and Vinny is out of the office. Dave said they're doing a Legend of Grimlock QL next week when Vinny gets back, so they may have a PC lined up now.

I don't think it's an issue of bringing it back since the site as a whole has been light on video content for a while. Give it some time and you'll be seeing a new one maybe, they said that ideas are being flung about when it comes to premium content so maybe not? Plus Vinny's busy with a kid and Dave's busy making some changes to the site.

Legend of Grimlock QL should be good, it's a great game (and they don't even really need a gaming PC to play that one anyway).

I always find it weird when I see somebody who is a premium member, but clearly doesn't pay much attention to the goings-on of the site.

Even if you missed whatever office video (I think) where they mention they don't have a gaming PC in the office yet, they were pretty clear about Vinny's paternity leave during a recent podcast, and if you're not listening to the Bombcast, what the hell are you doing demanding things of them.

Whenever they do get back to this feature I really want a quicklook of The Journeyman Project: Buried in Time . I have such fond memories of this game from my middle school days - some good mid 90s sci-fi FMV, legitimately good humor, and it's on GOG.

In the guys defense he did mention that he wants them to do this feature when Vinny gets back. I think what he meant to say "I really love Random PC game and here are some of my ideas for titles they should play when Vinny is back in the office"

As for time, they always mentioned how they do those early in the morning in order to not take up time needed for QL's etc so even though Dave might be swamped with work now I think he could squeeze in an hour for a Random PC Game in the morning.

They CAN make it happen. There are a lot of hours in a work day. As much as I love the "duders" I think the whole "they just moved give them time!" is getting a bit old. Yah they moved, it's been a month, time to get your stuff together. Maybe only a month into the move and with Vinny being out this isn't the best time for Drew to be taking a vacation? I mean at least he could have waited until Vinny gets back? They just don't seem to organize themselves or their time very well as opposed to not having enough of it.

@Canteu: well to be fair, they did say they are going to do more of them. I think they with Vinny's personal stuff and the new office move that everything has been a little discombobulated. Also, no...this is nowhere near anything as the absurdity of people asking for a new Extended Play (joke joke).

I don't think the way this was worded matched the OP's intent. There's no way someone who pays money for this site wouldn't know the constraints upon the team right now.

I would love them to do more of these.

Thanks, but can we at least hope they play a good FMV game? Like Tex Murphy or even GK2? Don't get me wrong, Phantasmagoria 2 is HILARIOUS and needs to be seen to be believed in all it's shitty glory. The hysterical sadomasochistic sex undertones, the hopelessly boring protagonist and production values that make Ripper look like a high-budget blockbuster have been mocked by numerous other people. It's still a great suggestion though.

Those were the days. Everyone was still adjusting to the move, and we were all cautiously optimistic about having a giant corporation over Giant Bomb but soon realized almost nothing has changed, and Brad soon left after that. Damn, where does the time go?

I'm quite sure they will return. Jeff mentions it in his latest Jar Time as something that they are waiting on equipment to get going. Don't fret, my fellow Random PC Game lovers! It shall come to pass.

I mean, it's not like the staff is busy getting situated or anything.
