For like 4 years now.
Whoa whoa whoa, look at this guy.
Always in the highest definition possible. When I bought my first gaming pc back in 2003, I knew I had to have an equivilent in quality tv for my gaming. There were a few xbox games that supported true 720p, like the hulk and true crime streets of la. Even though it wasn't native, gran turismo 4 had 1080i support. Playing max payne or grand theft auto 3 on the pc was leagues and BOUNDS better than they were on the ps2. Like an entire new game, visually.
Funny thing is, just about every game released today *ESPECIALLY multiplatform ps3 games*, isn't even in 720p. I'd say as long as their 1024x768 or higher, I won't complain.
One of the consoles, Upscaled Fake Pathetic Excuse 1080p. The Other, True 1080p. Now I just need a Wii, again..
And PC is also in glorious HD, of course. So yeah I do game in HD.
I was playing in SD - specifically 520 or something weird like that for the first 3 years I owned an xbox. It wasn't until this April that I ponied up and bought an HD monitor.
I play on both. Half the time I'll jump onto my Xbox 360, PS3, or some of the newer games on PC, but I'm a nostalgic player all the way through. I always find myself jumping onto a PS2 game or even playing a couple of Dreamcast games. Hell, just yesterday I was playing Legend of Legaia on PS1.

The joke, of course, being that a lot of games aren't actually as "HD" as you think they are.
This doesn't actually matter to me. The games still look fantastic even if they aren't in true HD. Look at Red Dead Redemption on the PS3 or Halo 3. Neither of those were in real HD and would anyone have known the difference?
I never get why people care about this crap. The games look great, who cares about what resolution it is?The joke, of course, being that a lot of games aren't actually as "HD" as you think they are.
