Did you ever like Halo?
I liked all the halo games, Halo Wars wasnt the best but it was kind of fun but what did you think of the series?

Love all of them even Halo Wars, i've sunk the most time this year into that game. The multiplayer is brilliant.
Edit: This thread is obviously gonna turn bad Halo has a lot of haters because it's very popular.
I spent the whole entire summer last year playin Halo multiplayer for the first time and I loved it.
This thread is going to end poorly...
But sure, I like Halo. Not enough to actually purchase any games in the series, but enough to be fairly decent at the multiplayer.
Haven't played the original but I loved the multiplayer in the 2nd and 3rd and I still regularly play Halo 3.
I'm a fan. Even read the first three books, but it got kinda tedious. Only enjoyed Fall of Reach, really. Thus I am extra excited for Halo Reach.
First played Halo at the Mall of America in 2001, either shortly before or after its release. It absolutely blew my mind, and I truly believed in the "Combat Evolved" moniker they stuck with it.
The purchase of an Xbox was soon to follow, along with the game, countless LAN parties (I would STILL love to participate in a Halo 1 LAN), contests, and obsession (connected the game to the internet via Gamespy Arcade wherein my brother and I kicked the ass of anyone who tried to challenge us at our map, Boarding Action).
I like the co-op experience, but honestly the story never gripped me, the singleplayer was way too short in Halo 2 and 3, the characters were never very interesting (I liked Master Chief and Cortona in the first one), and it seems like it tries to be violent but fails and the enemies and such never made me laugh and how childish looking they were. I don't play much multiplayer in games so Halo's mp never did anything for me. That's my view and it is a quality game franchise, but that's my opinion and the game just never fit well with me. Also I am a pc gamer so I've enjoyed mind-blowlingly awesome shooters for a long time, so Halo did not mean as much to me when I played it.
Quality series I am sure, but halo was one of them games could never get into no matter how hard I tried
I'm not in love with them by any means, but they tend to be pretty good games that I can enjoy for awhile.
Yeah, I enjoy Halo. All of them saved Halo Wars. It was a dumbed down RTS. And after playing Starcraft and other RTSs (Micro), I couldn't go back to Halo Wars' style of RTS (Macro).
I really don't see how anyone can complain against Halo myself. Sure, it's an easy game that even someone who isn't that good can get kills in. But hey, it's fun. That's what matters, right?
*Horde of MLG players bust down my door and beat the crap out of me*
I really like the first one, but Halo 2 didn't really do it for me. They took out infinite nades and the best pistol evar... plus no assault rifle? wtf...
Yeah, but I thought Halo 3 was a pretty good return to form. I would say I still like Halo, and if they re-released the first one on XBLA with online multiplayer...
These days though, I pretty much need a mouse / keyboard for my fps, so I don't really play Halo much anymore. It's still great for a get-together though.
i never played the other halo series only 3 i didnt try it online and i never played odst so i wont say anything about it yet
I played the first Halo and loved it same for the second and the third and ODST. I really dont play much Halo 3 or ODST but any time i do it just reminds me how fun that game is with other people.
Only ever played/owned Halo 3. Hated the boring single player and I hated the multiplayer even more. Fuck Halo.
No, I've never owned an Xbox system so the only one I've played was the PC port of the first one. I thought it was pretty shitty.
The fact that it's a console exclusive FPS series, on a Microsoft system no less, is enough to make me completely uninterested in the whole franchise. Why anyone would choose to play an FPS with a gamepad is beyond me.
I never played the original Halo: Combat Evolved. The summer prior to Halo 3's release I borrowed Halo 2 and played through most of it. When I bought Halo 3 I played the multiplayer for months. What I enjoy most about Halo is the single player experience. It's entertaining, and works well with co op. I don't love the multiplayer, I'll put it in from time to time when a friend asks me to but I rarely choose to play.
