Dude, Fuck the NFL's overtime.
" Brett Farves fault, hope he lives that last interception down the rest of his life. "Lul, Favre
Terrible OT rules; sucks that the saints made it to the super-bowl because of a crappy pass-interference call, but Favre could have given the Vikes a chance if he had just tucked it and run on that last play.
Oh well, don't think either of them could beat the Colts; the Vikings may have more talent, but the Colts are playing some of the most complete football I've ever seen.
P.S
There is NO defending the NFL's overtime rules; I know they can make a fan happy, but you've got to realise how easily they can end up ruining games.

"They're defense was the worst of the 4 teams left and only better than the cardinals of all the teams in the divisional round. they play good offense, or peyton manning does, and average defense at best.
Yeah, its fucking stupid. I think the NCAA does it well. Even if games tend to linger sometimes, both offenses and defenses get a chance.
That was bullshit. I agree NCAA OT rules should apply here. Saints go to the BOWL because of a stupidass OT rule?!?! Vikings Threw it away in the 4th anyway but SHIT. If its a tied game at the end of the 4th its literally a coin toss! Nobody even tries for the endzone so it shortens the field for professionals by about 30 yds!!! I hate it. Im pissed. And Favre can rot, thats the SECOND MAJOR playoff interception for the game I can recall in recent history. Dumbass.

If by most COMPLETE football you mean having an inability to run the ball and have to throw for 400 yds a game, then, yes, they are complete.

The dude's lucky to be standing after all of the cheap shots NO took on him throughout the game. A lot of stupid things happened at the end of reg that was messed up. It's as much Childress's fault after he allowed 12 men in the huddle. THEY WERE IN A TIME OUT! Couldn't they count. That's what really lost the game for them. All of this is besides the fact that the game was essentially handed to the Saints in OT by the refs. The better team lost today and the Vikes beat themselves. A very sloppy, mostly entertaing game.

The players on the field knew what to expect if it came to OT. If anything, the Vikings are probably stewing more over the interception than losing the coin toss right now.
And let's face it. Every Vikings fan in this thead would be celebrating a fair and square win had they won the toss and the game.
I agree, you're totally right. aaaand the fumbles and missed interceptions. Poorly played 2nd half, And yeah the refs DID NOT make things easier....well for the Vikings at least. I think the reason Im so pissed is because I had alreay began my victory celebration!! Deflation

A game that goes into overtime means the teams played evenly throughout the entire game. In the NFL, whoever wins the coin-toss usually ends up winning the game.
Although, you don't fumble as much as Peterson did, take the beating Favre did and come up as small as the defense did and win a game of that magnitude.
The overtime rules do suck, no question. However, the Vikings beat themselves with turnovers and boneheaded plays (Vikings don't have a 12th man, so they need an extra player in the huddle to compete :P). I like to call their situation the curse of the Hutchinson. Oh well, they'll have another chance next year when brett favre comes out of retirement, then the next year when he comes out of retirement again, then the next year when zombie favre comes out of retirement.
" @jukezypoo said:I said most complete football I have ever seen, but I phrased it poorly, because I was referring to this season. As for this season, what you just said could be applied to any team in the championships, barring the Jets, who instead have to RUN to win." The Colts need to pass to win.
The Vikings need to pass to win. (AP hasn't been himself since halfway through the season)
The Saints need to pass to win.
The Jets need to run to win.
Either way, poorly phrased, my bad. I was still fuming over the Vikes's loss.
I'm from England - I assume this refers to some sort of girly rugby the Americans play?
*FLAME SHIELD ON*

uh oh" If the Vikings lose I'm gonna be PISSED!!! "
@Hailinel:
football involves defense as well as offense. just because a team gets the ball doesn't mean they'll score. They could turn the ball over five times like the Vikings did.
" Brett Farve threw away the game for the Vikings. "Favre.
The "pass interference" call was bullshit. They weren't even touching in the replay, and they were both falling before the ball was there, and even then: the ball wouldn't have been caught anyway.
The one call that they didn't review is the one that fucked everything.
" What's NFL anyway? Hockey is a true man's sport. Much more exciting too. "Hockey is lame.
As someone who is from (and still lives here) Louisiana, and a rabid Saints fan, I love hearing all the excuses coming out, "it was the pass interference call", "they were taking shots at Brett", "NFL's OT sucks", lol, had the Vikings won y'all wouldn't be sayin' shit. This is the NFL, not fuckin' kiddie league football, if you want to win then you make the plays, offense AND defense, simple as that. Y'all sound like Brooking complaining about the Vikings running up the score, lol.
