Last month I got Frogger Returns from PS Plus. The game has 4 trophies (1 Silver, 3 Gold). One for completing each area. Play the game on time trial mode and you have unlimited lives. So I S ranked that game in 20 minutes. What were your easiest S ranks? Anything faster than 20 minutes and free?

One of the Sam & Max games that I own on the 360.
I've never been one to hunt for achievements and then suddenly "Hey you have everything!", was kinda surprised how easy it was to get those when I finally decided to go check what you had to do to get the achievements o.O

Don't you pay for PS Plus? The easiest S Rank I did for a downloadable was probably Galaga or Gunstar Heroes. They weren't free either though.

Dash of Destruction, maybe? As for a retail game, I thought Tomb Raider: Legend wasn't too bad. A bit time consuming, but a lot of fun.

Dash of Destruction

The Walking Dead, the only S rank I have.

Dead Space was an easy one.

Oblivion. All you need to do is play the game to completion and you've got an S-rank.

I only have a B because the PSN version has all the trophies listed. That's going to be my first platinum most definitely.

Gunstar Heroes

Pac-Man: Championship Edition DX

Got my first and only S Rank from The Walking Dead

#11 Posted by Kraznor (1578 posts) -

Well, Avatar The Last Airbender: Burning Earth is the classic example. TMNT was also pretty easy. There were some sports games too. College Hoops 2K6 and NBA 2K6 were both really easy.

@JasonR86: Skyrim is the the same. But both will take you rough 100 hours.

I would say Linger in Shadows for PSN. It takes 20 minutes. And its not even a game really. Its interactive art. You just play with the camera and at the end all the trophies pop up.

And for 360 The Walking Dead. Takes 2 hours (so far for the first episode), and you can not missing a single achievement.

Fight Night Round 3. Back when each achievement was 50 or 100 points.

#14 Posted by Little_Socrates (5677 posts) -

Dash of Destruction and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX.

yeah, but "completion" takes about 50 hours if you're rushing. King Kong was pretty easy, as were most of the 360 launch titles. I think I blazed through 1000 points in that Terminator game in about 4 hours as well.

Rage, it's my only S rank and the only game I ever really aimed to get the S rank on.

#17 Posted by WMWA (1162 posts) -

Journey and Infamous festival of blood were pretty painless

#18 Posted by Phatmac (5726 posts) -

Chie's S-rank was pretty good.

#19 Posted by Animasta (14691 posts) -

Blops on steam. It has a whole 3 multiplayer achivements :D

Definatly Avatar The Last Airbender: Burning Earth. Easiest and fastest S-Rank I had ever got. Also the Monkey Island games they put out on Xbox Live since I had known a lot about those games to begin with it wasn't too much trouble speeding through them and without any hints.

Probably Costume Quest, just talk to everyone and inspect everything and its impossible to miss anything.

#22 Posted by MoonlightMoth (471 posts) -

Ashes Cricket 2009.

#23 Posted by CL60 (16906 posts) -

Not counting downloadable stuff, probably King Kong. You S rank that just by beating it.

#24 Posted by Sayishere (1840 posts) -

King kong, guns tar heroes

#25 Posted by Hizang (8532 posts) -

I've only ever done 3, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie and Saints Row the Third. Out of those it would be Banjo-Kazooie, the list is really easy.

#26 Posted by Village_Guy (2579 posts) -

[Prototype 2] was pretty easy. There was a boatload of pretty easy ones at start of the 360s life, but I played any of those games.

#27 Posted by pweidman (2334 posts) -

Torchlight on XBL. So addictive the achieves just take care of themselves :).

#28 Posted by SoldierG654342 (1766 posts) -

Do XBLA games count? If they do, I was practically able to S Rank Symphony of the Night in my sleep, I've played that game so many goddamn times. I don't even know why I got it on XBLA, I still have my original disk. Backup, maybe?

#29 Posted by Morrow (1829 posts) -

Skyrim. You don't need any skill to get the trophies, just complete quests :D

#30 Posted by Zacagawea (1594 posts) -

Pacman Championship Edition was really easy. The COD games are never hard so I'd consider those easy too. Takes up like 2 days for each.

#31 Posted by mosespippy (4184 posts) -

@laserbolts: Yeah you pay for PS Plus but I only bought it for cloud storage. I had hundreds of hours of saves lost when my 60GB model died. Once cloud saves were added to Plus I dropped the money for Plus. The betas, minis, Pulse, and game trials I haven't bothered touching. The games I do download (usually) but I haven't played half of them. If you look at the number of games you get and the price you pay for plus then the games are cheaper than iPhone games so they are essentially disposable.

Yeah, once The Walking Dead is finished, I will have my first Platinum.

Dash of Destruction and Harm's Way were pretty easy if you have more than one controller.

#34 Posted by Clonedzero (4200 posts) -

i dont think i have any actually. i have like half a dozen games that i could go finish the S-rank for right now. only need one or two achievements for a bunch of games. but ive never cared about that.

#35 Posted by PeasantAbuse (5138 posts) -

Dash of Destruction and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX are the easiest S-ranks I have.

#37 Posted by GunstarRed (5186 posts) -

After Burner Climax. Or just pick most of the old sega games on the store.

#38 Posted by jonnyboy (2920 posts) -

Doom 2. But mostly because I've played the living shit out of that game for the last 18 years.

Lego Batman and Pacman Championship Edition DX

#40 Posted by Zidd (1846 posts) -

early XBLA games like cloning clyde had really easy achievements

#41 Posted by Clonedzero (4200 posts) -

wait! im pretty sure i S-ranked dead rising 2 case zero

#42 Posted by Yanngc33 (4496 posts) -

AfterBurner Climax is pretty easy as you can get the trophies while cheats are activated

#43 Posted by Murdouken (709 posts) -

The Maw on PC/360 has really easy achievements and is also a really fun game.

#44 Posted by TEHMAXXORZ (1199 posts) -

Battlefield 1943 was really easy to S rank, and so was Borderlands before the Claptrap Revolution DLC came (god damn collection achievements!).

I have to say that Mass Effect 3 is by far the easiest retail game I've ever S ranked because there's only one actually challenging achievement, to complete the game on insanity, and that's fairly easy.

#45 Posted by DrDarkStryfe (1117 posts) -

Call of Duty 2, you just have to beat the game on the hardest difficilty.

I have one other s rank, but yeah. I was actually a little bummed that it didn't have achievements based on different choices and all that, but I'm ok with an S Rank.

Oblivion was super easy, but I lost that one with some issues recovering my gamertag after a long period of being offline and losing a bunch.

Easy and long can coexist. That game is mad easy and none of the achievements are difficult in the slightest or require any real skill.

Oh yeah, Battlefield 1943 was really easy. The only issue with that one was playing 100 rounds because that game was garbage. Having to sit there and play it so much was painful.

Trine 2 . Got it way before completing the story , and it's not very long .

#49 Posted by ShadowConqueror (3052 posts) -

Dash of Destruction, but King Kong is a close second since it bugged out and took longer than it should have.

#50 Edited by SaturdayNightSpecials (2387 posts) -

I don't have an S rank yet.

I still have that one damn multiplayer achievement in Dash of Destruction, or the speed run achievement in Braid.
