my favorite music was always from the end of streets of rage 2 on the sega genesis
Favorite Video Game Music ?
I forgot how epic the music was in this game. Although Turok wasn't a AAA franchise, I loved it. I haven't heard this in a long time. This is like a trip down memory lane."
Pretty much anything by Jeremy Soule is great.

I personally don't have one favorite. But here is a soundtrack that inspired me as a kid.
The music from Silent Hill is pretty good. Although that really only applies for 2, 3, and 4. The other albums are mostly filler for me in between the vocal tracks.
Two soundtracks that people don't usually know about that are good are the soundtracks to Time Crisis (the Redbook score) and Die Hard Trilogy.
Also, Metal Gear Solid 2's soundtrack is good. The rest of the games in the Metal Gear series have exceedingly average scores and BGM, but Norihiko Hibino's work on MGS2 was great. (That includes the MGS2: Substance soundtrack as well.)
I like the music in Touhou a lot. Every boss has their own theme and they characterize the bosses quite well.
Since Touhou is light on story and text, the music in some ways gives the bosses some character.
Touhou's music is popular enough to have circles that remake the music into metal/J-pop/etc as well. Then again the game series has a pretty big annual convention too.
Quite an achievement for a doujin game series with only a single guy programming, composing, and illustrating for the game.
