After playing Lumines Electronic Symphony I really wish that they had DLC songs like shinin or some more Genki Rocket stuff. What games do you wish had DLC?
Games that you wish had DLC.
I just looked at my collection and of the 27 disc based games from this generation that I have every one of them received DLC. Of the games on the list that didn't have DLC I don't think I want any of them to. Maybe an extra area or a bunch of new cars, weapons and soundtrack for GTA2 but that's about all I could think of. Now I have to go play Lumines Puzzle Fusion. Thanks. Or I could just go to youtube.
@believer258: agreed. i like it when a game has dlc that is very essential. but i like the skyrim and arkham city dlc. it doesnt subtract from the game and it gives you the option to continue with more of a solid game.
Skyrim. GIVE ME MORE. I'LL TAKE IT ALL PLEASE, THANK YOU.
I also wish Civ V had more expansions like this upcoming one, with new mechanics.
For the most part i don't like any DLC. Games are so expensive these days, that i don't want to buy any. I would be more intrested if they made games cheap like 30$ and piled on DLC for people who want more. Thay way there is no big risk on my part i wont like the game.

It's so weird to me that there are still people who are absolutely against the very concept of DLC.
I know, right? People, judge the individual value proposition instead of the whole concept. Some jackass selling a hotdog for a thousand bucks should in no way ruin hotdogs for you. Ah well, more for me.
Oh no wait, that doesn't fly because it's endlessly replicable data.
I wish Game of Thrones, Rage, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, Bioshock, Viking: Battle for Asgard, Syndicate, and Shadowrun had expansions or new maps or whatevs.
I wish Crackdown, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Alan Wake had better or more expansions.
I'd rather wish for a sequel than dlc, but if them's the rules, then I guess something like Persona 4 comes to mind, I'd play Persona 4 dlc. It's unlikely that gave will ever get a direct sequel, but any little bit more with those characters would be nice. Then again someone might argue that The Answer in FES was kinda like dlc and that is not very good, from the sound of it. I only ever played the first little bit of it. I think I quit and saved as soon as I could.

Skyrim, I love the game but need new locations.
dunno if you know this or not, but a fairly big Skyrim DLC expansion thing is coming out in like a week and a half. its called Dawnguard. about vampires and shit, check it out, looks pretty awesome.

Bayonetta and Vanquish.
Please give me more Platinum.
They should just make sequels and go ahead and send them directly to my house!
More L.A. Noire cases would be great, loved the DLC but I need more!
Valkyria Chronicles has interesting DLC, but something concerning the main characters would have been nice.

And yet usually for boxed expansions for whatever reason.

Not against, but I don't play them through, so now I know to avoid them as a waste of my money. Not based on quality, its just a fact that when the game is finished, credits role, I feel closure and I move on. This goes way back, I barely touched Throne of Bhaal for Baldurs Gate, a game I loved.
I do play sequels (most of the Final Fantasy games, Mass Effect, I'd love a Bayonetta 2), but DLC is just feels like too little butter spread over too much bread.

skyrim does have DLC its just not out yet so dont know if your answer is valid. but your still right
It's not out, so I wish it had DLC. I also wish it had DLC beyond that. It's also one of the few types of games I care about DLC in. Luckily pretty much all of the games I care about and like DLC in have it.
Sonic CD should get that DLC I thought of, for an endless or gauntlet mode where you'd play through every level in every time period with each soundtrack.
Game should also get these patches/fixes, assuming it wasn't already implemented:
- Level select is available even if you did not complete the game.
- A new mode where the goal post sends you back to beginning of level until you finally attain Good Future.
- All time travel loading sequence(s) removed, it happens instantaneously. (or it would be an effect similar to switching places in Sonic 2 versus mode)
- Music altered to be longer and/or so it doesn't fade out before looping.
If it had all this stuff then I would buy it.
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
granted it is Capcom with their whole "re-sell you same game but new stuff later" tactics but they even had a poll for characters fans wanted to see as DLC for ultimate (such as Psylocke, Gambit, Gene, Asura etc) but Seth Killian flat out said "no DLC aside from costumes".
I'm expecting an Arcade Edition at some point
A lot of times, the DLC that I've played has been so underwhelming, I wish I never bought it. I'd preferably want the developer to just save the ideas and energy for a sequel. But, for the sake of the thread, I wouldn't mind extra colossi for Shadow of the Colossus.
