Bought all the NES Super Mario Bros, then later on bought Mario Allstars which was all the original games with some nice fancy 16bit graphics.
To many copies of Street Fighter 2 in the 90's.
Contra 3, recently grabbed it on the Wii's virtual console only to find that the controls are really bad with the GC controller! Fight Night Round 3 bought it on PS2 then later bought it on the Xbox 360 when I got one and wanted to beat up a friend over the internet.
Super Mario Bros. 3 Mega Man 2 Mega Man 4 I bought those games originally on NES Then again on a Mega Man collection for the Xbox and finally on the VC
I think I have no less than 3 copies of Alien Crush for the TG16, but it's because one came with my Turbo Duo, one came with my TurboExpress, and I have no idea where the 3rd came from.
I bought quite a few games on VC that I own physical copies of, it just happens to be easier to play them on a Wii then digging up my old consoles. A few I own in various collections as well on different platforms, mostly Neo Geo and Genesis games.
I've bought a game, sold it, then bought it again a few times. Once I think I bought/sold/bought/sold/bought the first Castlevania game. Thankfully these services like Steam, VC, and the others make buying a game a one time deal.
I did manage to buy Ico twice, but it was only because I had forgotten if I had sold it or not since I couldn't find it, then I did - and now it looks l'll be buying it a 3rd time.
The most recent game is BFBC2. I bought the PS3 version for myself first, then got the game again for my friend because i owed him a game. Then I got the game again on PC because of the PAX sale last year. Just a few months ago, the my disc cracked (no idea how). So I bought the game again... So...4 different times i bought BFBC2 lol
I've bough multiple versions of the EA NHL games due wear/ cracking of the discs, Metal Gear Solid 2&3 because I sold them and then have bought them back in recent years and most recently Borderlands. I loved it on the 360, but was having money issues so i sold my 360 and then i picked up it again during the Steam summer sale w/ DLC packs. Totally worth it.
I bought three copies of Uncharted 2, but they were presents. I also had two copies of FFXIII because one was American and one was the Canadian version, and also two copies of God of War 3, because I originally got the regular edition, and then I bought the collectors edition. I sold my excess copies of both games.
when i bought a better compture this year i rebought games i had on xbox 360 like orange box, left 4 dead 1 and 2, borderlands, mass effect 1 and 2 and dragon age also when i rebought a ps2 from a second hand shop for 70 bucks (white one with racing wheel, 4 controllers, controller contection and random memory cards) i rebought jak and daxter, final fantasy 10, X-2, ssx tricky, space channel 5, guitaroo man, dogs life and dark cloud :)

Basically any game I really enjoyed a while back that goes on sale has a good chance at a second purchase from me. Damn you Steam! I need that money for NEW games!
Resident Evil 4; first on GC, and when it came out for the Wii, I HAD to get it. I think I have 2-3 copies of Starcraft + Brood War, and 2 copies of Warcraft III + Frozen Throne lying around because of the Battle Chests. Left 4 Dead 2, a copy on 360 and on PC.
I have bought Oblivion 3 times now. First time was for the PC, second was the PS3, then I bought it on a steam sale. I think I may have also bought War craft three twice. Even though this is kinda different, I have bought some of the classic games from my childhood that I either sold or traded in when I was young and nieve.

As best I recall, only StarCraft for me. Bought it when I was young, and then after I moved out when my family lost our copy. That, and I kinda need my own copy if I'm going to play from a hundred miles away. Once I had my own place, it made sense because I went home only to visit on holidays, and not ever because I had to.
Alien Hominid on GBA and PS2, GranTurismo3 ntsc, pal, then ntsc again. GT4, pal and ntsc. Mario Bros. NES and GBA. MGS2 PC and PS2. I also own Shadow of the Colossus, and will buy it again when the ICO-SotC Collection comes out. I'm also pretty sure that I've bought DooM and MYST, more than once.
Homeworld 2. I loaned my copy to a friend and he moved away without giving it back.
Also Dawn of War + the first few expansions. The collection was super cheap, it came with an expansion I didn't have yet, and entry into the Dawn of War II beta.
Elder Scrolls Oblivion(360 & PS3 , Marvel vs Capcom 2 (1 Dreamcast, 2 or 3 times on PS3), Okami, Halo3, Zone of the Enders 2, maybe Bully and more. I don't keep games in cases and have a fuck-ton of DVD & demo discs that I ain't chucked away, and when I do alot of good shit gets chucked too. I'm a fucking fool

Timesplitter 2 I had it first on the gamecube it broke, years later bought it on the xbox en went berserk when I found out it wasn't backwards compatible.
Most of my repeats are 360 games so that my sister and I could play together online and not splitscreen. Our television is too tiny for that.
Borderlands, Left 4 Dead 2, and The Orange Box. And a bunch of Arcade games that we only paid for once, but we downloaded it on the other's box first, then our own. So we both get to have them.
