Is there any games you haven't finished yet and feel bad about it? For me, there are a lot -- kind of. Right now, the two that come to mind only because I had watched, read about, or played more recently are both Demon's Souls and both StarCraft games. I have beaten soooo many games in my life, I feel terrible for not finishing some of the most recognizable, and successful series. I have all of them as well, but the games I've never beaten that are in a series would be, GTA, Zelda, and Final Fantasy. Again, I have all of the games in all of those series, if you were to recommend which series I should beat first, which would it be? I feel like beating StarCraft 2. Should I do those, or go off an' cry in a pillow for not finishing any of them? Anyways, what are some of the games you want to finish but for some reason just never did so? Time to go cut up some onions!

Right now it's Portal 2. I'm 2 hours in and haven't gotten back to it.

I still haven't gotten around to beating Condemned 2, and it's been so long since I've last played it that it'd be more productive if I just start all over frankly. I also don't feel bad about not beating it, though it's always been there.. amongst the small stack I make near my console that I bounce between.

If you mean just didn't finish beating at all, Bayonetta. If you mean didn't finish to where I want to finish, Starcraft 2.

Planescape Torment :( I've started playing it three times already, but I just end up playing something else instead...

Dragon Age 2.  I'm around 10 hours in and I loved the first so much so I want to beat this... but I don't know if I'll ever touch it again.  It was pretty boring and I have so many other games to play that I've bought this year.  (At least 15 if not more that I need to beat)

Shadow of the Colossus, I guess. But I don't really feel bad about not finishing it yet.

too fucking many.

#9 Posted by CL60 (16906 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Fallout 1 and 2.

#10 Posted by Helios1337 (274 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

@BeachThunder: Same, Planescape Torment is on my list of games to play. I've literally owned it since it came out. I don't know why I haven't played considering all the other games from that era/genre that I have completed.

Final Fantasy VII most of all. I really wanted to be able to say I beat that game but it's so damn old school and it hasn't aged well at all.

#12 Posted by ShaggE (4444 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Ass Creed 2. I love that game to death, but for some reason I haven't finished it yet, despite starting it a year ago. I really want to play Brotherhood, but I refuse to start it until I finish 2.

Dragon Age: Origins. Such an overwhelming prospect, that game. So much to do that I kind of don't want to do any of it, as much as I want to do all of it.

Any GTA game. Every single one of them has one bullshit hard/frustrating mission that stops me dead in my tracks.

Portal 2, every area I can't complete makes me feel like an idiot, and therefor I rage quit. Been going on for months now.

#14 Posted by spankingaddict (2397 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

The Thief franchise
Grim Fandango

and... play ZELDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bioshock, started it twice and always seem to get distracted before I can really get into it.

I want to finish Lost Odyssey but it takes a long time.

More than half of my Steam library.

Amnesia. I play it regularly and love it, but I can't play it for extended periods of time.

GTA Chinatown Wars. I recently remembered I'd never finished it, so I'm currently 46.18% through rectifying that oversight.

Fallout New Vegas, Bioshock 2 (Not as good as first), Okami,  a lot of Genesis games/ (Phantasy Star II, Tazmania, Super Hang On, etc)
I also want to finish the old N64 platformers like Banjo and DK64.

#23 Posted by FancySoapsMan (5414 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Resident Evil 4 is the big one for me, started playing it around the time I got my PS3, right after launch and there were not many great PS3 games out at the time and I had heard such great buzz about RE4, I started playing it on my brand new PS3, and about 3/4 the way into the game, I was crushed by a PS2 backwards compatibility bug that made the game freeze, no matter what, every time I entered this one location. So needless to say, I gave up on that one, might pick it up again when the HD collection comes out. Others for me would be some of the ones already mentioned like Demon's Souls (didn't loose interest in it, just put it down one day and never made my way back to it), Darksiders (was about 16 hours into it and then I had to return my rental, which at the time I figured I would just pick the game up once it dropped in price, but I have yet to do so). There are others like inFAMOUS which I stopped playing because I was on the 3rd island when my PS3 got the Yellow Light of Death for the first time, which wiped my game save and I just didn't have the drive to start it all over...

Bayonetta... Loved the crazyness, but hated the game-play and awkward Japanese-style inventory/menus. Doubt I'll ever get back to it.

#27 Posted by ArchScabby (5809 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

I'm two cases away from finishing L.A. Noire, but got distracted by Infamous 2, and I really don't know if I'll ever go back and finish those to cases.

#28 Posted by PK_Koopa (563 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga. I'm on the last dungeon but I can't finish it. I just really want to move on to the sequel now.

#29 Posted by Pinworm45 (4088 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Singularity. It's a fun as hell game I just haven't gone back to it for.. no reason.

#30 Posted by Dain22 (303 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago
Dragon Age: Origins for the 360. I moved away for graduate school, but even when I returned for the Christmas break I didn't touch it for some reason.

I bought Devil May Cry 3 for cheap ages ago. Played it once up until I had to fight Cerberus. Lost a few times and never touched it since.

#32 Posted by project343 (2658 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Most recently, Shadows of the Damned and LA Noire. Just lost interest.

Fallout: New Vegas.

Mostly because of the similarities to Fallout 3 excluding the characters and story.

Killing Hobo's with pins and bowling balls was the best night of my life

As for me, Valkyria Chronicles. It's just such a good game for me I really don't want it to end. And well, I have a whole lot more I haven't finished, but no one wants to read a list. WHO READS LISTS HONESTLY?
#35 Posted by WilliamHenry (1062 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Half Life 2.

#36 Posted by NTM (6427 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago
@Dain22: Wait, isn't Cerberus the first boss that only takes about ten minutes to get to from the beginning of the game? So basically you only played ten minutes or so? Dang. Alright.
#37 Posted by AjayRaz (12250 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Portal, Red Dead Redemption, MGS4, and i didn't even start LA Noire yet.

i don't feel bad about the first two. LA Noire and MGS4 are games i need to get to

Super Mario Brothers

#39 Posted by Xtrememuffinman (958 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Not counting the stack of games I bought and never started...

Xenosaga.  Couldn't beat a boss. Interesting story though. And fantastic music.
MGS Peace Walker. Story was great so far, as usual, but the thing was unplayable with the controls. Super frustrating.
Zack and Wiki and De Blob. They were both fun, but I just kinda stopped playing them.

I keep meaning to get to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Valkaria Chronicles 2, Enslaved, Darksiders, X3: Terran Conflict, The Last Remnant, and FInal Fantasy 4 Complete. Even though I have loads of disposable income and time(single, no kids) I am also an addict. Whenever something new comes out I buy it. At the moment I am chipping away at Shadows of the Damned, Trenched, Total War: SHogan 2, Warhammer 40K: DOW 2 Retribution, The 3rd Birthday, and the Witcher 2. There is no telling when I will be able to go back and finish the other games.

I would disagree on all those points

Bowser's Inside Story

#45 Posted by geirr (1683 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Dead Space 2 and possibly Red Dead Redemption.

#46 Posted by HolyHackZack (59 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Made it to Mexico in Red Dead after 30 hours or so, doing every side activity I found along the way, before my flash card with my save on it got destroyed. Finally got around to putting it back in and made it to Mexico again but now I think I'm burnt out on it. The biggest tragedy was losing years of Mass Effect saves though, poor Bronson Shepard, your story ended to soon...

#47 Posted by kalmis (1511 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Couple of Zelda games, any Valve game except for the first Portal and any Final Fantasy game except for the first 4. Most notable would be still perhaps Mass Effect 2. I got the game on day one, still have it shrink wrapped. Lost my ME1 save with my old Xbox dying and don't wan't to start ME2 fresh.

#48 Posted by Bakumatsu (271 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Bioshock (started it three times already), Dragon Age 2 (I'll finished it eventually), Fallout New Vegas, Assissin's Creed Brotherhood, Persona 3 and 4, God of War 2 and the list goes on... An adult's life with responsibilities is hard..

#49 Posted by atomic_dumpling (2322 posts) - 1 year, 10 months ago

Aquaria. I love this game, but I got stuck on a later boss and gave up - sadly it is not a game one can easily dive into again (pun intended). Somehow I feel like I owe it to this game to finish it someday.

I know, I can't stand playing games on PSP. It'll be nice when Peace Walker comes to PS3.
