Meh, there wasn't really anything amazing this year in my opinion. I don't much enjoy the Mass Effect games, Starcraft 2 is not my thing, and AC Brotherhood... well I really should buy that game when it comes out on PC. But for download only games they will definitely say Pacman CE Deluxe.

RDR will receive my own personal most overrated game of the year award. I have already designed the trophy itself out of tinfoil and feces (or just old socks, one or the other). Delightful!
And did I miss something about Jeff loving ME2? Whenever it's brought up on recent Bombcasts, he always stays away from the discussion. If I'd have to take a serious guess at his GOTY, it'd be New Vegas
Kind of surprised Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is getting mentioned so much. Not that I dislike the game or anything, I just don't see it really being in the discussion for GOTY. The only thing I can see happening is Ryan picking it as his personal favorite but I'm not even sure about that.
@aurahack: Alright, thanks for the thoughtful reply but I still disagree. Not that I disagree with everything you said, just your conclusion that DP doesn't deserve to be discussed in a GOTY context. You made some good points and I understand where you are coming from. I can't explain it well but anyway, I have a great deal of appreciation for surrealism and a game that isn't afraid to be playful and a little silly. I think those qualities make a good game - as far as action adventure games go. Fishing for bullets makes a game better.
It's a lot of the reason why AC:brotherhood is boring as hell to me. It looks nice and plays alright (a little simple in the head but definitely competent) In my opinion it isn't an interesting game. I had a pretty solid idea of it's plot and gameplay boundaries before it began. I'm not saying it isn't a really good game - it is - it's well built, decent characters, decent enough story. I'll never finish it though. Red Dead at least gets some credit for it's zombie expansion. I wish designers would move away from trying to create a realistic experience and instead concentrate on making something fun and new, maybe with a little crazy.
I think they might say Pac-Man Champsionship Edition DX, they seemed super into it when they did the quick look No actully it will be Motion Sports! xD
