Times are tough and after selling my Wii, I have decided I need to sell another game console. If you had to choose, would you sell the 360 or the PS3 and why? Most upcoming games seem to be coming out for both consoles, I don't know of many exclusives.
If you had to choose, which would you sell?
That statement might have been more fitting a month ago when PS3 price cuts were still in speculation mode." I'd say the PS3, since it costs more and will soon cost less. "
If you're going to sell based on cost, it's best to ask the retailer what they'd give you since it's usually unpredictable (and low). Though personally, I would say sell the PS3 as well.
Is your PS3 a launch full b/c model or even an software emulated b/c model? If it is I'd sell the 360. You can rebuy a new arcade later for $199. But even a new PS3 Slim will cost $299 and it won't support backwards compatibility.
I'd sell whatever gets you more cash really, or whatever you play less. I mean both are going to be good systems to have in the next year. Personally I'd rather a 360 over the next year just because I'm more attached to its franchises, but then I don't own a PS3 and haven't really had a chance to get attached to any of its exclusives. Just depends what games you're looking forward to. If I were you I'd go to a reliable release date calender and make a tally of games you're possitive you'd buy, then whatever list is longer go with that system.
I would sell my Xbox 360, been playing my PS3 ever since i got that over a year ago now, hardly ever turn on my Xbox 360 anymore. I would have no trouble leaving my 5 years of live membership behind me and my 41K Gamerscore, who cares.
keep the one that the majority of youre friends have. if ur friends have both consoles as well i would sell the 360
I'd sell my PS3...XBL is superior to PSN in almost every way. The 360 has better only 360 games than the PS3 has only PS3 games (not this year), but it is a better console, and there is just so much more you can do in terms of entertainment and chatting.
Yes the PS3's hardware and visuals are better, but at the end of the day, if a game looks bad on a 360 but still is a helluva alot of fun to play. Games are what determines how much enjoyment you get not visual experience.
I sold my 360. It was an easy decision after my third one died. Had it been working perfectly I probably would have still sold it, because I like the PS3's exclusives more and everything third party that is worth playing is either multiplatform or goes multiplatform a year after it's release.
I'm surprised that this thread has almost reached the 2nd page without any real fanboy fighting. As for me the PS3 would go but thats only if I was desperate
I've decided to sell my PS3 simply because it has a better resale value right now.
Thanks for all of your helpful input.
Sell the one where you have more games.... so youll get more money.... you are selling the games too rigth??
" @killdave said:No cause then I would buy a player that would double as a AV system. Allowing me to connect other devices into it" Sell the PS3 at a push and buy a stand alone bluray player "The PS3 is the cheapest Blu-Ray player out there, so your idea would be dumb wouldn't it? "
keep the one that has the most comfortable controller to you, because soon it won't make any other difference.
I would sell my xbox because im scared that 1. its gonna break (the ethernet port is already broken on it restricting me from playing live) and 2. everyone is gonna realize that ps3 is getting bigger than 360 and prices will plummet.
