Hi duders after hearing Brad's advice I bought Letterpress and it's a pretty rad little mobile game. I love the quick fire play and that you can have as many or as few games going at once. I also played a bit of Temple Run and very found it very addictive, until I stopped playing and now I really don't want to play it. Now I'm after some more good mobile/tablet games I'm using Android on a nexus 7 / htc desire s.

Have any of you got any good suggestions for some quick play mobile games?

Jetpack Joyride.

7 Little Words

Totally Random Hero (A bit buggy, but it's still fun!)

Hill Climb Racing

Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery

Dungeon Scroll

Game Dev Story

Robo Defense

Cestos

Those are the games that come to mind right now!

10000000 - Love this game. I play it over and over again. Middle Manager of Justice is fun. But you run out of stuff to do after awhile and need to step away from it. Elder Sign: Omens is a really good iphone version of the board game. It could be a good intro to board gaming for someone.

I hear 1000000 is really good, shame it's iPhone only... May well have to get an iPhone 5 when my contract ends.

I'm an iOS user so I'm not 100% sure about whether or not these games are on Android.

Machinarium, Jetpack Joyride, 10000000 (is fantastic, even though I know it's iPhone only), Knights of Pen and Paper is really awesome and I don't hear a lot about it, Punch Quest is pretty cool but I haven't played much. If you haven't played older Final Fantasy games, they are on there, a little expensive but they translate well to touch. That's all I can think of for now.

Superbrothers: Sword and Sorcery

Dungeon Raid

World of Goo

Machinarium

Plants Vs Zombies

Rayman Jungle Run

Splice

Waking Mars

Zen Bound 2

Toki Tori

Cogs

Eufloria HD

Swords & Soilders

Tetris

I'm afraid to say I've played all the old Final Fantasys extensively, except V, on various platforms. Such good games! Maybe I'll pick them up again...

I always wanted to check out Infinity Blade 1/2, not entirely sure if they're good or not, but they look pretty nice

Angry Birds

Angry Birds Seasons

Angry Birds Rio

Angry Birds Space

Angry Birds Star Wars.

Enough to keep you busy forever.

I'm currently playing the angry birds spin off Bad Piggies and it's pretty fun.

Jetpack Joyride and the Angry Birds games have eaten so much of my time and provided me so much entertainment/frustration that I really have no choice but to recommend them.

Alright thanks for the recommendations guys I'll check them out and see what sticks and maybe write about my experience of them

Asphalt 6 , NFS Most Wanted, Galaxy on Fire 2 THD, Shadowgun, Shadowgun: Deadzone, Modern Combat 3, NOVA 3, Gangstar Rio, Dead Trigger, Mass Effect Infiltrator, Earth And Legend, and the Zenonia games.

...I kinda have a rooted Nexus 7 and a USB OTG cable, so most of what I mentioned can be played with a controller in one way or another.

I recently started playing Blood Brothers. It feels a bit like that old Dragon Age Legends flash game mixed with pokemon.

Has anyone else checked out Dungeon Village by the guys that did Game Dev Story, its fairly engaging for one or 2 play throughs.

Anything by Kairosoft

This. Middle Manager of Justice is pretty good, too.

I second this. Game Dev Story is also cool.

Beach Buggy Blitz is a fun little game.

Also check out Riptide and Chu Chu Rocket.

Knights of Pen and Paper is awesome, tons of content and good gameplay. Dead Trigger is pretty good, though way better with a controller(which defeats the whole mobile part but still). The NFL flick quarterback and kicker games are pretty fun too. The Angry Birds games and Bad Piggies are actually really addictive and good for short little bursts.

I'm up for an upgrade in March... but I'm thinking about holding onto my current phone until they announce the next iPhone. Is that crazy?

Magic 2013 on iPad is basically the gold standard in card games and will consume your life if you get into it. Shame the online has been wrecked by everyone using that multicoloured deck at the moment. Cook, Serve, Delicious is a fun timewaster as well. Peggle and Drop7 are cool too.

Not that crazy, considering how often they announce new phones.

Temple run, Rayman and Game Dev Story

After 8 years, Mobigame's EDGE is still my favorite mobile game.

Everything about it utilizes the strengths of the platform without trying to shoe-horn in a variety of unwieldy mechanics or attempting to do too much just because the hardware is technically capable of it (i.e. imitate console games in terms of presentation, mechanics, or scope). It's simple but surprisingly deep/skill-based, rewarding to speed-run, and has an incredible soundtrack/appealing visual aesthetic.

To anyone reading this thread now or in the future, 10000000 has since been released for Android. You should play it.

Zombie Tsunami is, I believe, on both iOS and Android (someone correct me if I'm wrong there). It's a pretty terrific take on the endless runner and stupidly addictive. I'm not sure if it's on Android either, but I'm also hugely fond of Giant Boulder of Death. Actually, you can't go wrong with any of Adult Swim's mobile games. They're all pretty rad.

Year Walk: Just a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Spooky and atmospheric.

Game Dev Story: I ran my iphone out of batteries 3 days in a row, at work, playing this game. Just could not put it down.

10,000,000: A nice, fun little time waster.

Pixel Dungeon. Been playing this rogue-like for about a year, and I can't seem to beat it.
One of these days though...

Locking this thread now that it's basically just spambot bait.

If someone needs fresh mobile game recommendations, feel free to just make a new thread.
