Fuck. I chose single player. Dammit! I'm retarded. I meant either B. or C.
In the future of gaming, what aspect would you rather lose all together?
'Cause it may happen (though I doubt it), and I hope it doesn't.I stopped reading right there...
Because it won't.
Multiplayer, definitely.
Also I never spell definitely right the first time: http://www.d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y.com/.
The choices suck. SORRY but they do. Your selections would be better suited to what types of games do you prefer to buy and play. Single or Mulitplayer, if there are only single I'll quit gaming, if there are only multiplayer I'll quit......
You ask what aspect I would rather lose altogether... Ok my answer is MOTION CONTROLS! I prefer single player games but do play multiplayer on occasions and wouldn't want to chose between the 2.
Some people believe that in the next 20 years (as early as three), there'll be no more just single player games. Meaning that you'll always be online, kind of like Demon's Souls. If that's the case, what will happen to our Half Life's and Bioshock's? Will it just be just like OnLive where everyone can watch everyone else game at will? Like I said before, I personally have no idea if this'll truly happen, and I hope it doesn't, but I acknowledge the idea that it may be.
@Khann: I hate to argue on here (and the internet in general), but people on giantbomb a lot of the time are ignorant or just retarded. This wasn't about what's true and what's not, it's a simple question. In every poll, you see the same negative shit no matter what. Go look at any other poll and there'll be the same type of comments. The giantbomb "community" is awkward.
Multilayer I would be okay with loosing if It meant I got to keep experiences like Morrowind, Jade Empire and future games like Skyrim to myself and got to experience the game In the way I like to play them.
If I had to do quests and certain times, make sure I was online to get this or that, I think I would just stay in the then 'Last Gen'
D. I enjoy both for different reasons.
I would never give up gaming just because they stopped doing one over the other.
Absurd thread. I'm not the biggest multiplayer guy in the world but that doesn't mean I want to fuck the people that enjoy it.
I don't think this thread is entirely absurd, but it could have been rethought a bit. It's essentially the billionth "Do you like ___ or ___ better?" thread.
Anyway, I would rather lose neither. In fact, I'm in no fear of losing neither. Too many people adore both or just one of them to let it go. Me? I've always said, and I'll always say, that single player is where gaming's lofty heights lie. However, I've had way too many great experiences and friends made over games of Halo 3/Reach that I will never put multiplayer down. There's an experience there that can be had nowhere else, and it deserves to stay just as much as single player.
