Lets honor Ryan Davis by growing a beard!

I'm bearded already but i'll lock away the groomer for a while and pay tribute with all you duders.

I was already growing a beard out of "too lazy to shave"-ness, but I could keep it going for a while. The hardest part is not letting it get all uneven and terrible-looking.

Wow, the description for that concept page describes exactly what i've experienced. Giantbomb's really got crazy content :P

A beard is usually known to grow naturally and with care; they can grow to be presentable. A "Grief Beard", however, is a beard that has grown rugged and unattended for an amount of time because of a terrible event that causes the owner of said beard to fall into a depression. This depression is so deep that the owner stops caring about little things like shaving and therefore, the "Grief Beard" appears.

My beard is also all sparse and crappy, but it sorta helps deal with the grief too.

I wish I could join you all! I can't get more then a very thin chin and upper lip going. I actually have a bit of a reverse hitler thing... It just wont darken ha.

I've tried growing a nice sized beard ever since I saw his user video on GameSpot years back, where he was shaving for a look for E3. But I don't know how the guy did it. I have a goatee and mustache, but anything more gets too itchy over time. Ugh! lol

I have a beard already. I'm ahead of the curve. As per usual. I'm a trendsetter. I set trends. Like beards.

If you can have a beard, always have a beard. I have worse facial hair growth than Patrick. And I am truly ashamed by this fact.

I've been letting it grow for a week because I'm lazy, and then I found out about Ryan and let it grow for another week. It's a bit disappointing seeing as it's not the full, crumb filled beard I imagined having but hey, I'll shave it into something that doesn't make me look like a hobo. Fun fact: in Japan I saw paintings at a festival of Dutch people having red beards and thought "Wow, what a weird stereo type". Guess what colour my beard is?

If I didn't work in sales I would totally do it. But my beard makes me look VERY homeless. For now though, I'll grow a beard on my heart!

I would, but I have to shave for work

Shaved earlier in the Summer (shortly after E3) and don't plan to shave again until November, so I can post an update once I get home during the weekend.

Just shaved mine off, but this is a good excuse to grow it back!

I look REALLY bad with one. Also, if it ever gets too long, my face starts to itch really bad. So I never grow one, no exceptions.

I will not inflict that terror upon my friends and loved ones!

I like to think of the first one as my Cat Stephens mode and the second as my Zangief mode. :)

My facial hair is completely pathetic. I'm 24 and I can't grow more than a wimpy chin beard that doesn't even come up very far.

Hate to necro a topic, but tomorrow I am going to shave my grief beard and figured I should at least leave a record of what it looked like before I did.

I hate to say it, but some of you guys are getting a bit creepy with this whole Ryan Davis thing. Also, beards hurt and tickle, so I prefer a clean face on a man.

Man. I want a real beard. Someday.

I've more or less had a beard for 15 years, I don't know if I can grow a beard over my beard but damnit I'll try.

Had a beard for 10 years or so. I'll never clean shave ever. It grows so fast and I can't be bothered shaving daily. Plus, apparently I look like some guy called Opie from Sons of Anarchy, don't know though because I never watched it. Lets just say, that has worked out in my favor in the past.

Are we talking a well kempt Ryan style, or a hermit Duck Dynasty style?

I can do either in < a month.
