Let's kill SPAM dead

I am starting to see lots of spam appear on Giant Bomb, similar to what plagues IGN, this is bad...

really i hadn't seen any yet. but i don't get on here as much anymore. too busy playing games than reading about them so much.

I keep doing it, and I keep getting the glitch where my karma level won't reset. Because forum history is fucked up, I can't just flag one post from each spam account and expect the mods to delete the rest of the posts. So yeah, we need all the people flagging as we can get.

I have been flagging but when I tried today I got the message saying I no longer can, and let's be honest, I'm too lazy to contact a moderator to get my karma reset.

I'm considering writing a Greasemonkey script to block out all the spambot crap. 

It got to be a bigger problem near the end of 2010 but apparently top men are dealing with it. The other advise I'd give people in addition to flagging is for God's sake don't reply to the spam bots.

The spam seemed to peak a couple weeks ago, and has seemed to calm down a bit. I'm a flaggin mofo.

Between moderators tracking spammers down, cleaning up their mess that was reported by the fantastic people that flagged as many spam posts as possible and the staff working their voodoo magic and wed wizardry we've managed to get the upper hand. 
 
Just keep flagging the spammers and if you need a karma reset, send the mod team a PM and we'll gladly do it.

I say we get a bunch of smart tech dudes and DDoS the crap out of these sites.
