There are games where you just seem to get lost more often than not... and you feel annoyed and confused, isn't?
For me it is now Castlevania: Shymphony of the Night... though i have played almost all castlevania games, i just get lost in the castle.
And the psx and saturn version differences don't seem to help either on my way to get on track.
Lost again?!
Symphony of the Night? I'm playing the original Phantasy Star! It's much easier to get lost in that game, especially when you realize that some of the walls could be fake. Grrr you, Sega of the 80s!
But don't you have a map? Just look at your map, compare it to the Internet, see where you haven't gone yet, and explore the hell out of those areas.
" @Video_Game_King: Hum hum i'm doing it... the problem is that there are some times where you just don't seem to have anywhere new you can go. "That part of the game's called "the end" :P.
Metroid often gets a person lost... i remember how many times i got lost while playing super metroid on the Snes... It would get very frustrating some times.
@FluxWaveZ:
Yeah i remember how it is... thankfully now there are faqs.
But even then, sometimes, if a game is long and confusing, it's hard to follow a faq.
I second the mentioning of the Water Temple in OoT and Super Metroid.
GRR. Super Metroid. You make me so angry some times.
Yea, that's pretty much it. Unfortunately, while the 1st person part never came back, the "WHERE THE HELL AM I!?" aspect became a recurring theme for the series' dungeons.
Metroid Prime I always got super lost in, there was so much backtracking and criss-crossing I never knew what I was doing. Some of the old 8-bit RPGs were always bad for me, Final Fantasy and Phantasy Star I never knew where to go since the games really don't tell you. And the first few playthroughs of any Silent Hill are always a little confusing till you got a good idea for where everything was then it was practically too easy.
